Where's the Nearest Junkyard?
So my car is the shop for the third time in a year (this time because it is making very strange noises when I accelerate) and I'm seriously begining to think that its starting to become a money pit. It is seven years old now so I guess its understandable, but there are days when I would like to just junk it (literally). People keep telling me that as long as it runs, I can get money for it and Volkswagen told me my car is worth over $7,000. I suspect that I have expensive taste because the Acura TSX (in blue with a sunroof) is my dream car and I can't see the point of settling for something else because it wont be what I want, and I'll still have a car payment. I cant see the point of paying several hundred dollars a month for something only somewhat better than the car I drive now especially when it isnt what I want. The car that I have now is paid off so I guess I'm putting what I would pay monthly as a payment into making my car drivable. But on the other hand every time something goes wrong with it (which is happening more and more frequently), I am filled with such loathing. I know that I need to keep my eye simple, but I want to be able to get into my car and know that it will start and that I will get from point a to point b safely and within a reasonable time. Any advice?

isn't that the green one?
the TSX is a hot vehicle. a little weak in the pony department, but a sweet, sweet luxary type deal for sure. good taste. as for advice? i don't have any.
ooh actually i do. i dont know if ur into buying used cars that other people are selling but when i needed a car my dad was bugging this guy at work into selling this car he bought for his elderly mother that lives with him. great condition. i forget the details, i'll check on em but he only wants $2000. i know u only want ur dream car but this one is so cheap that then u can save for the dream car,. if u so desire.
Learn to fix it yourself. Get a Chilton's manual and read as many www.howstuffworks.com auto articles as you can. Do you trust your mechanic? Sometimes you can just ask him/her to diagnose something and then take it home and fix it yourself.
I do know a HOTT brother that is a mechanic!!!
that may be the funniest thing you've ever said on ezabel. hahahahahaha.

Fee-Fee - the nearest Junkyard is in Oakland, near Pleasureland.
So $165 later, my car is fixed! I think that now is the best time to sell before something else goes wrong......
what kind of car is it?
1999 Honda Civic
sound lieka good car with problems liek any other. i agree with webby...learn a little about cars so u can understand the problem
Ah 99 civic? Do you go 4 wheeling with that thing?
It's a tough call, either way it's a worthless money pit, but if you do the comparison, putting money into an older car actually still comes out a lot less
