Like a giant mouse

juicymango by juicymango · Mar 16, 2007 · 144 views · Ask eZabel

so

the guy at our gym that checks our cards and hands out locker keys at the front desk, he's really huge, like 7 feet tall and looks pretty intimidating

anyway this guy is like the quietest, shyest guy i've ever seen in my life

his voice is like a mouse

and he looks frightened of humans

i really feel bad for him

chris and i both said the same thing about him, we were walking out of the gym the other day and were just amazed, because someone was complaining at the desk about owing a balance or whatever and the guy almost collapsed in a pile of timidity

and the dude is HUGE and like 7 feet tall

so we wer saying he should be slaying dragons and setting people on fire with his words

instead he .. cowers...

we want to befriend him, toughen him up a bit

any suggestions? haha

WOW he looks frightened of humans , this is not an attractive trait. Got to have some back bone.
Just to be clear having back bone and just being an insecure mouthy jerk are two very different things. Also retreating into your insecurities and never confronting issues bad quality for filling the role of headship.

Now about this dude...
This is a tough one, because you don't know why he is this way. It's going to be difficult to try and counteract this tendency to "cower" with out understanding it's origin.
What if he used to have a pair and somebody just broke the man down?
Try just engaging him in conversation see what's there, for a start.
It's nice that you want to help though, hope it works out! ;)

I want you to go out and start a fight. You're going to start a fight and you are going to lose. Let them know they still have the power.

thats funny and weird at the same time! i guess you cant judge a book by its cover.

anyway, i think you should put him in the ring with a monkey...have him go a few rounds, that should toughen him up!
