"You can build my house"
When I tell people that I'm going to school for architecture, everyone says, "You can build my house." Joy. I'm starting to get really nervous about school, money, work, the job market, marriage, spirituality, life, etc. That's too much to worry about. My boyfriend says I dwell too much on things. How should I stop?
I was reading this incredible critical book of poetry, reviewing from the beginning of time (Beowulf, The Odessy) to the present. In the chapter on late Romantic British poetry, I was learning about the life of my favorite poet, George Byron. The book said something similar to 'Great poets lead ordinary lives. They just sit back and watch more. They decipher their feelings well enough to be able to exhibit them to others. THAT is what makes good poetry. Slow emotion.'
I'm not trying to say that I'm some kind of marvelous poet, but I'm admiting that I think the aforementioned type of instrospectiveness is my malady. Is there a doctor in the house?

aforementioned and introspectiveness has to be the two biggest words used in one sentence that was not complex in meaning.
You mean I haven't impressed you????? My life's meaning is lost!
yea.. when you user2 words that have more then 2 syllables in them... its just over-doing it...
well there are other things to live for. dont worry.
be poetic, but don't be a poet. if u get caught up in the whole lifestyle of a poet, ur going to push out spiritual activity. make time for spiritual things first...everything else will fall into place. it sounds too simple, but that's all the governing body has been asking us to do for 30-something years...and you know what? it works!
so basically it's something they've been telling us to do for about half of your lifetime? jk. anyway, you gotta keep things in perspective. the necessary things.
hey di, you can build me a house. get started
