An interesting phrase...
So, I've been hearing this from people probably my whole life but for some reason it's been bothering me a lot lately. Why do people say "I could care less"? It's suppose to be "I couldn't care less". You see, if it's "I could care less" then you're saying that it is possible for you to care less therefore, why even say it. If you say "I couldn't care less" it means that you care so little about that thing that it's impossible to care any less. You've reached the max of not caring.

I agree totally!!!! I have always been bothered by this as well. I was discussing another sorta related thing with a friend on sunday, how people pronounce foliage as foilage, and nuclear as nucular. she brought up congregation and corengation. Very annoying too.
haha, you and matt.. sooo crazy about that stuff..
yeah stuff like that really bothers me too, i guess i just don't have a high tolerance for stupidity
even though i had to read this three times to get what you are saying, i totally got it now and i so agree.
this journal is dumb...i could care less about it
What the,,
Why?,
Why did i spend time reading this journal!
i say counld care less all the time, its just habit now
yeah things like that are one of my pet peeves. another example to go along with rae's: irregardless. not a word, it's regardless. "for all intents and purposes" is another one that people misuse a lot. also, when people say "and" instead of "in" in various phrases, for instance "as snug as a bug and a rug".. ugh hate that
lol... i never noticed those!! i caught myself saying "UN" organized instead of "DIS" organized today... doh! THose who don't find great amounts of relevance and truth in this journal are just not very intelligent.
Last year I took a Public Speaking class and it was really interesting to realize how many words not just myself but everyone says wrong. It has a lot to do with the accents of a certain area but there are also just plenty of simple common mistakes. Ex: "All of the sudden" compared to "all of a sudden" the latter being wrong. Also, it turns out I say banner wrong, I use the wrong 'a' to say it.
what about, "I couldn't love you any more".
irregardless
