just wondering
Okay, we're baptised in the name of the Father, the Son, and the holy Spirit, right? The example for our baptism was set by Jesus' baptism, but of course He wasn't baptised in His own name. And what about the apostles? were they ever baptized??? Or were they sanctified by holly spirit in that upper room at pentecost 33c.e.? Or were they even there that night????

The apostles were disciples first, so they had to have been baptized in water... they were appointed by Holy Spirit as apostles later...

this is somethin more to ask someone in person where they can show you from the Bible...i dunno, maybe.

I guess this would be a matter for some further personal research, Adam...
we had a good article on baptism a few years back. check it out.
jesus' baptism was not an 'example set for us.' jesus' baptism was different from john the baptist's baptism of the jews which are both different from our baptism today.
