The Bestest Person in the World...

...is taking me to my first opera tonight. I'm going to see "The Barber of Seville" at Lincoln Center. I'm so excited I thought I'd share it. One thing about this opera that I find funny though(correct me if I'm wrong): it's an italian opera that takes place in Spain. Also, why don't they call it by it's real name in italian or spanish instead of translating the title to english? It's just weird, an italian opera that takes place in a spanish country, but is written in italian yet the title is in english. It's like this show I watch...it's on the spanish channel so obviously it's in spanish...or so you think. In actuality it's a brazilian show, taped in portuguesse translated to spanish. It gets better, it's about these arabics that live in Rio. It goes back and forth from Rio to Moroco and they translate the portuguese into spanish, when one of the characters says something in arabic the person translating to spanigh tries to say it in arabic and it's even funnier when they try to speak english... small things amuse me.
