Decision on Video Games
Ok this is for probably Dave and a couple other people because they are experts...heh...
I wandered into Gamestop yesterday after my friend told me that he traded in his N64 and all the games toward an X-Box...I thought that was a dumb idea till I went home and thought about it and realized I REALLY wanted Tony Hawk 4 and X-Box Live, and a DVD player. So, my question- is it worth it to trade it in?? You get like 10 DOLLARS for the DECK!! How messed is that?? Most of the games you get more than you do for the system...I have 13 games, 4 controllers, rumble packs, etc...

Keep the N64, or sell it on Ebay. You'll get lots more. I sold my N64 with a bunch of games and accessories about a year ago on Ebay. Part of me wishes I still had it. There is a great Xbox deal now... system and 2 games for 199.99. I would grab that OR a GameCube (I think there is a GC with Metroid Prime Bundle for 179.99)... since I have a GameCube my Dreamcast gets very little use anymore. I still have an SNES which gets some action, but for now I'm working on Metroid Prime!
BTW... I drove by the Funcoland in Ledgewood yesterday. Very depressing. The windows all have brown paper over them to preserve the murder scene. I dealt with the two guys who were slain regularly (usually I was in there at least twice a month)... they were really nice guys and I don't think they deserved to be murdered like they were...

they were slained regularly ? wow.. thats amazing.. were they like immortal. and like one day lost there immortality and like finally died.
No, stoopid... I regularly dealt with the guys who were slain...
the kid i go to school with hated the one kid... but i still told him he should feel bad...
that's really sad. i didn't read the article yet, but if it doesn't mention it, what was the motive?
No motive as of yet...
dave...did you sell the games seperatly or just as one huge package?? Did you have the original box and everything?? and how many games did you have?
IIRC... one big package... about 20 games, most with original boxes and stuff... 4 controllers, 4 generic rumble packs/memory packs (they were combined), Game Shark... I think I got about 200.00 for it on Ebay... actually, I think it was more like 1 1/2 to 2 years ago...
xbox is the first game system i bought. being that i still hold onto my c64, i'd say there are reasons for holding on to the nintendo. it'll all depend on whether you're nostalgic. i mean, if you get $200 for it on ebay, go for it. but if you'll only get $50 or so, it's worth hanging on to it.
i got my xbox at costco. costco had always bundled two games with xbox. microsoft is now doing the same. i was able to pick up the last of costco's original bundles. i like it better because it has the original controllers. nevertheless, if you try costco, you should get the standard $199 bundle, along with one extra controller (s-type), and the dvd setup. the whole thing is approx. $230. keep in mind that microsoft was running a promo for a $30 rebate on the dvd controller. check out their web site to see if it's still true: xbox.com
I see the same thing at Sam's Club, too...
yeah... everytime i go there i like stare and drool at the xbox and gamecube bundles.... sigh
I was at Cash Converters in Saddle Brook last night, and they had used N64 and Dreamcasts for like $35. don't know if that's good, but they had them. they've got some digital video-cameras too. *drool*.....
i cant stand video games- such a waste of time
