Making music
by Wow... this past Saturday we had our first band practice... for all you eZabelers, rocksupastar and I, along with 3 other brothers, have started up a typical garage band. Covers for now... For five guys (well four, since the fifth is the vocalist and we have to get the music part down first) who for the most part are beginners (well, one advanced, two intermediates and a beginner who I don't think ever really played any guitar til a month ago or so) we actually made music! TOGETHER!!! Wow!
I have to say... Mike is the beginner and boy, he's really learning the chords FAST! I could never get chords, even though I've been trying for 25 years. I could only do melody notes, which is why I'm comfortable with the bass.
Right now, we're doing some "generic" genre stuff to just get used to playing together... then we broke into "Miles Away" by Goldfinger and that actually sounded like the song!
Now we have to come up with a catchy name... how about the "One-ders".. like "Wonders" but with the "one" play on words...

Oh I don't like playing the PS version because the Arcade version is the coolest thing ever. However, if I ever get my hands on a bit of money I intend to buy a PS2 and DDR!

River of Sound sounds like a progressive rock band, in the vein of Dream Theater. and Asking For Treble is clever, but doesn't sound like a band name to me-- more like a vh1 special name or rolling stone editorial
