Broken Home

Tonight I was talking to my pops. He reminded me that my mother put him out of the house, and how it wasn't his choice. He said that in the future my decision making will be affected the reason being that I haven't had a substantial male role-model in my life. I was told that when I am older, and ready to be a wife, listening to my husband will be hard for me to do considering I never really had to listen to a man and respect his opinion. This was an extremely sad thought, and depressed me quite a bit. I just hope & pray that when I am ready to have someone to be with, I will not hurt him in anyway. People don't realize when stepping into marriage it's a very serious step in life. They think its all fun & games. But after the first year or so, the "fun" has subsided and now you have to deal with money problems, marriage life, etc. And when you're fighting, where's the fun? When marriages don't work, they don't only affect the people who are getting divorced. It affects everyone and everything around those people. It has later effects on the children, and their spouses in the future. So the reason why I'm writing this journal is to tell you, never jump into something you're not absolutely sure about. Love never fails, so make sure you love whoever you're willing to marry. Don't ruin your life...or your children's future.
