New Smoking Rules
by You guys here about the no smoking rule that everyone is talkin about for NY. I think they want to pass a law that you cant smoke in bars or something... that would be soo amazing, not that i go to bars, but still... i wonder if it will actually work!

they passed a law like that a fe years ago here in California. Waitresses were in an uproar because so many of them were getting cancer.
Waitressing where people are allowed to smoke is definetly not fun. Not only is the scent of food and drink heavily in the air, but you are forced to breath in smoke against your will. Well, I guess you could just not breath and all..but yeah.
I've been hearing talks about that off and on for the past few months. However, it came up again the other day and I just laughed. I think it would be great if they banned smoking in bars and restaurants. Everyone who wants to smoke will just have to sit around in their stinky houses smoking unless they're willing to go out and without for a while. Bahahha
well if they do smoke in the place, i think they have to have like a big container or something... i think thats even better! they dont even have to have buy cigs they could just breath it in.... soo dumb
you know smokers are definitely going to start crying about "their rights" which annoys me so much b/c what about our rights to clean air? I hope they enact a law like that everywhere.
I think thats the point, non smokers have the right NOT to get cancer by breathing in smoke anytime they go out....
does this mean that we can sit in nice sections of bars and restaurants and actually be able to breathe?? i'm all for it although i doubt it will ever work. i mean i was at my company dinner last night and people were even smoking on the dancefloor-standing there holding their ashtrays. hah lemmings

i believe the rule was approved. it'd be interesting to see if bar sales are affected.
