I've heard that St. John is nice but not very commercial. It depends on what you're looking for your vacation to be like. Do you want to be isolated and just chill or do you want lots of things to do?
Im not lookin for a island that is bumbarded and clutered, nice scenery, to just chill, and go outside of the resort and it still be nice.
with nice beaches, nice water, and such
you might wanna go to st thomas, there's more resorts and stuff to do there
I dont really wanna do anything though, just like snorkel, lay on the beach, and it be nice all around,, and not alot of people
that's what st. john's all about... i would consider going there for my honeymoon. we stayed at this place called "concordia" it was pretty nice
If you go to St John, you have to go to Trump Bay. It's beautiful!
i think you should check out www.eopinions.com . i dont' know if they have a section on this, but it's a good site nonetheless.
st john is an awesome place if you just wanna relax. there's no clubs or anything, just natural beauty, a few restaurants, its nice
yeah. Oh yeah you were there not to long ago right?
do you have any pictures?
Costa Rica is supposed to be awesome--I've been wanted to go. Everyone who goes seems to love it. St. Croix is also supposed to be nice-it's by St. John. Tortolla has been highly recommended to me as well-looks like somewhere pirates would be with high mountains coming up out of the water.
Yah i duno about costa rica , cuase isnt it just hot,, Like ive been lookin at pics of it, and resorts and stuff, and its not impressing me at all!
isnt it a poor island
i just want to go to central and south america for like a month and travel all over. i have friends in ecuador, pr, and dr....of course it's hot!! my friends spend a lot of time in DR building Kingdom Halls.
Well im saying isnt it just hot, like theres really nothing to do there , its just hot! You just bake.like some places are hot hot and you can do stuff like snorkel , surf, beach stuff, is costa rica like that or is it just hot where you cant do anything cause theres nothin to do
I went to costa rica and loved it. there aren't a lot of people, it's inexpensive, and it's not really any hotter than any other tropical place. there is plenty of beach stuff in costa rica and you can stay on the caribbean side or the pacific ocean side. you can go tour the rain forest (amazing), snorkel, etc, go horseback riding on the beach, do canopy tours, they have natural hot spring spas. And we stayed at this really great resort where you ate each meal at a different restaurant (everything is open air there, too). On the resort was kinda different sections and we stayed in an apartment on a cliff overlooking the ocean. there was a private pool up there too. Oh, you just can't be scared of animals and lizards and stuff-they run around but are mainly harmless. Look at OrbitCostaRica.com
Outside of those places though is it like watch your back? Like how jamiaca is, its beutiful among the resorts but your risking your life if you go outside em
the coastal cities are pretty ok. a lot of people we met were native surfers or american surfers who went down there to live. oh yeah, i forgot it is has some of the best surfing beaches in the world. anyway, it's kinda poor but i didn't really feel unsafe-just don't wonder around by yourself.
very nice beaches, cute monkeys, kyacking, biking, 4 wheeling, wind surfing, fishing, diving, snorkeling, rafting, surfing--lots to do
hmm, costa rica is sounden kinda nice, it didnt really appeal to me at all, but you guys are catching my interest!
cute monkeys?
only when you are there.
costa rica isn't an island. its a country with a coast... hence "costa" in the name. they do have islands off the coast. remember Jurassic Park I/II/III. "on an uninhabited island off the coast of Costa Rica"
Well yah
dean is the voice of reason in an otherwise unmonopolythiestic world, devout of any polymorphisic reasoning. (i dunno if that made sense, BTW. i doubt it did.)
no, it doesn't. And now you are just making up words!
you're just saying that because you know i can beat you at scrabble
Scrabble is not even a game I would consider playing with my history of spelling, so if you wanna feel like a winner, Im the person to play with..haha
hahhahahahha scrabble... hahhahahhahahahhah hahahahhaha.
in other words... "he's smart"
St. Croix was dry, St. Martin is crappy, st. thomas and st. john are wonderful. I've heard nothing but good about St. Lucia and Grenada as well.
i thought Grenada was very poor...
well, i'm going there in April, so i'll let you know. I talked to a travel agent and she said its a wonderful island and is getting more popular for people who want secluded beaches, rainforest, and waterfalls.
hmmmm... if it's getting more popular wouldn't that magically make it become.... more crowded? ahhahahah. my logic is just 2 good.
Well, not actually. It all depends on what people want. Not alot of people like secluded places, they like huge resorts and lots of people and excitement...So alot of people choose, mexico, jamaica, bahamas etc. I on the other hand don't want to be around alot of tourists who want all that entertainment...Did that make any sense?
Ditto, I dont want excitement and city life around I just want beutiful scenery! I live all my life around city, I dont wanna go on vacation just to go to another busy part of the world!
lot's of voodoo
i wonder how long i could last in cancun. i wonder how many weeks... maybe 2... hmmm... thats a lot.
