On a lighter note... band names!
by Okay, as you guys may know from the musings, I started up a band... rocksupastar and I are in it with 3 other brothers. The problem now is settling on a name.
The final list we (along with our two "Faye's" (Think of Liv Tyler's character in That Thing You Do) have come down to as far as names is this:

The Sparx
Waste O'Time
Replay
Extremely Nervous
Free Parking
The Saturns
The One-ders
The O'Needers
The Corvairs
AND a joke one, but it's kind of neat... The Phlegmingtons
Right now, we're doing covers, so "Replay" has a nice solid meaning to it, with a 70's band name feel to it... but we all like the other names, too... I'm turning to you guys to get opinions.

I kind of like the Phlegmingtons, but don't know how well it will go with everyone... I was just making plans with a friend and went through the names... when I got to this one and started to spell it out, I got as far as "P-h-l-" and she groaned in pain!

Hmmmm.... see, I like "Replay" on it's own, but if we do a show or something it would be neat to say "Hi, we're Extremely Nervous" but the joke may wear thin after awhile...

I don't remember hearing that one either... sounds hmmm... fitting... better than Band From Society! ;-) Maybe I can mix that with my old love of comic books and call it "Mid Life Crisis on Earth One"

I LOVE YOU! I knew we weren't the only ones to name cars. THe first car we named was my dads saturn that I used to drive and he's Pepe! It took a while but we finally decided on The Yeti for my volvo-tank.
my trucks name is MUstafa.
all of our cars have names---my sister named one of the GFD gift from dad....SPOILED!! her buick was Bertha just cus it was sooo big.
see we try to name some of the boyz cars and they think that we're crazy and only us name cars and we were like, "no way. everybody's car is supposed to have a name." we're trying to think of one for lukes.
hmmmm it all depends on what kind of car he has-could be a boy or a girl...what color it is....lots of different things
i like his car. its brownish compact with cordorouy seats on the inside and he wants it to be a girls name. its very difficult actually.

that would work if it was a lighter brown but its this really deep brown that kinda looks black in some parts.
well you could just use variations of the word brown, coffee, or chocolate in other languages: cafe, morena, marron, brun, colore marrone, chocolate, chocolat
true but he wants like a real girls name. but the one i came up with that was considered was teddy cuz the seats are so soft and such. i gotta take another ride before we can name it.
i like teddy---hard to think of this without seein or riding in the car...marcy or darma....depending on the color she could also be a ginger, brandy, or sadie
Julie we are obviously understood! this makes me so happy! I totally know what you mean by girl and boy cars. I thought my car was a guy at first..then i thought maybe it was a girl..then a guy in drag..but it turns out it's really just a Yeti.

hahahahha i love these names, but has anyone ever seen American Outlaws (its the one about jesse james) and they're like "don't make me tell the whole town about that time you slept with a man," ---"sadie was a beatiful woman"----"she has a mustache"---(brother goes)"i think she had more than a mustache."
because of that the actual naming of anything sadie has been completely ruined for me.

it was on the other day and the whole movie seems dumb but there are lines such as those that are so perfect. like when she saves his life and is like, "jesse is that your hand?" i crack up every time. it makes me happy.

no i love it but at points it gets so predictable that i don't wanna watch it but there are just those points. when bob younger gets mad that he isn't described acurately on the wanted posters. can you imagine if gangsters actually say stuff like that? very hysterical.

i don't know, that's pretty gey. you name a car so when you go over hills and such you can chant together to encourage the car to make it up the hill do you sit there chantin "the black bandit"?
