It's Gettin Better Man...

I don't know what's up with ezabel lately so I hope this works...many of you know my youngest sister was in the hospital yesterday to have her appendix out. There were unfortunately some complications:
During the surgery her appendix slipped and ruptured. When they opened her up for surgery, they found that she had intestinal infections. She's in Ped ICU and I can't go see her because I'm sick. So I've become the family chauffer. Thank goodness they let my older sister spend the night with her...she is not in a good way right now-she still has a high fever.
I know things are really bad because my mom and Gram are cutting their Florida trip short to come back today. My mom is a nurse and she wouldn't do that unless something serious was going on--she thinks something else is wrong.
I'm in a state of shock. I was expecting to get a call saying the surgery went great and my sister was resting and instead I hear all of this. I know they are taking good care of her at the hospital, but I'm extremely nervous. Please keep my sister in all of your prayers.

My sister's condition is the same...she's on a lot of morphine for the pain and antibiotics for the intestinal infections. She's still in ICU. My mom got back from Florida and has been with her. They had to slice her stomach across to do the operation instead of going through the belly button like they usually do. Silly girl was like "I can't wear a two piece this summer!" I still can't see her because of my larengitis. She can't have flowers or anything in her room so I got some Spongebob stickers and sent them in with my dad. Hopefully they will be able to move her out of ICU soon...
Yeah.. it's very frustrating when something like this happens. ICU is the pits to visit and I'm sure to let alone BE in as a patient. Sounds like she has her sense of humor, though, which is great. That will help carry her through. Keep us posted on her (and your) condition.
she's so adorable---when she found out my mom was coming she asked my sister to brush her hair and wash her face. she's still real weak and has a temp of 102. and she's still in ICU. my fever is gone and im just a little scratchy so hopefully i can go see her tonight-give her a mani/pedi and spoil her with presents.
Glad you're better... sounds like sis in on the mend, but it will be a somewhat slow process. Is she in the same hospital your mom works at?
Her white blood count is going down which means she's fighting the infection! Yay! Keep praying everyone that she keeps improving! She's still in ICU (yes at the hospital where my mom works). I can go see her tonight. =)

I just got back from the hospital. Man is it hard to see someone you love look like that. My sister was this abnormal yellowish color. She had tubes coming out of every oraface. I wheeled in the kids entertainment center for her-she was too weak to play so she watched me try to play Tony Hawk and wipe out all the time. Tomorrow they may finally move her to a regular room. Her one request: SLURPEE!! She was so glad to see me, but she asked that I stop being funny because laughing hurts. Poor kid! She smiled when I said everyone sends their love. =) Thanks for keeping us in your prayers!

i totally know what your saying, i visited my grandma who was in a really bad car accident a few weeks back.. i cant handle hospitals, they make me get all weirded out. I could only sit by her for a bit... then after that i had to take a walk... ugg... hospitals are horrible.
i dont know how my mom works in one everyday...id just cry everynight feeling sorry for the people.
SERIOUSLY, i needed to take a walk, and then i just started seeing more and more people, and started feeling worse, ugg, it was bad, i hate hospitals...
I used to intern in PR at the hospital. I would sometimes go on rounds with my mom....it must just take a certain type of person to be able to handle it.

definitely---i have to have my parents bring it....i woke up today with pink eye in BOTH eyes. i'm like a petrie dish of infectous disease or something...i hope i didn't give it to her last night. =( i scammed this brilliant idea off of a similar one from a friend: i'm going to make a video of get well wishes for her! i just went to the store and bought her lots of things to bring there too. =) they are moving her to a regular room as i'm typing this and she had a sprite...her first drink other than water!
i'm thinking it's good to be sick...everyone brings you toys!

MY SISTER IS HOME!!! She's very sickly, but she's home. We put her in our den since she can't make it upstairs. We put all her cards in the wood paneling with tacks all around her. She has tons of balloons and flowers and presents (SPONGEBOB!). I'm so happy she's home! Thanks for all your love and support. =)
yeah for jordy! i'm sure mom feels better now...which means dad feels better...she better suck up all the attention for as long as it lasts! (it's great to be sick!)
she's too weak to even care about the attention...she gave me two boxes of chocolate because she said she doesn't feel like eating them =( my parents are both still fussing over her. that's what she gets for being the baby. if i were in the hospital for a week they'd be like yessss let this week never end!
