and another one

forrestina by forrestina · Feb 26, 2003 · 215 views · Ask eZabel

so, as you may or may not have noticed, i've been thinking a lot about music lately and how i should broaden my horizons. i mainly listen to brit and classic rock. i also enjoy country (oh shut up you never even gave it a chance). i love 80s music. i listen to rap/r&b/hip-hop, spanish, and trance when i feel like dancing. i like punk/ska/emo as well. so i was wondering what other people would recommend. i'm keeping an open mind here...

yo, know what i just got! tim mcgraw's greatest hits....he's the best country singer ever. do u like him? songs to d/l if u dont know them are: please remember me, my best friend, it's your love, dont take the girl...to name a few! :)

forrestina #3.1 forrestinaOG 2002

i love tim mcgraw! my sisters and i sing "something like that" and "i like it i love it" allllll the time. i also loved his duet with faith "it's your love"

tesoro #3.1.1 tesoroOG 2001

ohhhhh, it makes me so happy when people like him! haha :) yea, the duets with faith are awesome.

forrestina #3.1.1.1 forrestinaOG 2002

definitely. i actually want to go see him in concert.

beachbum #3.2 beachbumOG 2002

i'm not a country or tim mcgraw fan at all, but someone made me listen to don't take the girl and it made me cry every time.

forrestina #3.2.1 forrestinaOG 2002

a good country song will do that to a girl

tesoro #4 tesoroOG 2001

also, d/l anything by Chevelle, i think they just have one song on the radio: the red, thats a good song, but another great song is: send the pain below. they are harder alternative rock.

forrestina #4.1 forrestinaOG 2002

yeah my sister likes that song-i'll check em out. thanks

beachbum #5 beachbumOG 2002

One True Thing. The whole cd is awesome. Pennywise (esp. straight ahead cd) & Zebrahead (waste of mind album) also really really great. I'm also quite partial to metallica and other harder stuff like you would find on krock or wsou. don't know how hard you go for. Oh and you can never really go wrong w/ Beastie Boys. good stuff.

forrestina #5.1 forrestinaOG 2002

i listen to sou sometimes...i used to be into harder rock but i've moved away from it as i got older.

deanh77 #5.1.1 deanh77Founder

SOU is more emo/punk now. they have 80'/70's/hard rock shows though. check out their web-site for programming info.
like for instance I know they have an "industrial" show on Monday nights.

beachbum #5.1.1.1 beachbumOG 2002

they aren't allowed to play harder stuff til after 5pm now. it's pretty good at night and in the early morning. during the day it's pretty sucky.

forrestina #5.1.1.2 forrestinaOG 2002

i gotcha thanks for the suggestion

Ozma. (weezer-ish rock, but defintely their own style)

Gorillaz

Deltron 3030 (for lyrical rap about being a black man in the 31st century, about hackers shutting down space stations, and intergalactic rap-battles.)

deanh77 #6.1 deanh77Founder

its surprisin wise men looked at the horizon/thinking more capitalism was the wisdom and imprisoning/all citizens empowered with rythym/we keep the funk alive by talking with idioms

forrestina #6.2 forrestinaOG 2002

i saw ozma at warped tour. some kids started laughing hysterically when they did the tetris song.

deanh77 #6.2.1 deanh77Founder

yeah, thats who I missed at warped tour.

they're awesome.

forrestina #6.2.1.1 forrestinaOG 2002
