Divorced by America
That would be a more appropriate for that new reality show. Just when those of us who are anti-reality tv thought this crap couldn't get any gayer, it outdoes itself. I obviously didn't watch it (if it even started yet)but I've seen the commercials. In it Fox even references the high divorce rate in this country-and they even sound proud of the fact that they are helping to perpetuate the nonsense. What an absolute mockery they make of marriage-all those shows do to some extent-it's so disgusting.
Also, I don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't want to let the fools of this country pick a husband for me. You'll have every moron in the U.S. calling up and picking some putz for you thinking they are funny, and then you have to marry him.
And it's like everyone (I'm mostly referring to worldly people in this journal) becomes obsessed with this garbage and that's all they can think about is reality tv. What about the reality of the much more important issues going on everywhere outside their little bubble-millions of people starving, war, horrific crimes on humanity, etc. Not that we should to think about that stuff all the time or have any control over it, but it seems pretty horrible to be so concerned over who some loser is going to marry when there is so much more important things to be concerned about.
The degeneration of society constantly boggles my mind. Glad I'm no part of it.

I heard a therapist talking about that show on the radio and he said he thought it was an absolute degradation of the union of marriage and that it exemplified how disposable marriages in this country have become.
