by Ok, so last night we heard the news at the meeting that Brother Henschel died Saturday night. So first my cat and then Br. Henschel.
Now i didn't know him but i have a funny story. My dad was from Minnesota and went to Brooklyn Bethel. He was considering marriage (to my mom of course) and asked his overseer, who at the time was Br Henschel. So he said if you like the girl marry her. Anyway, i saw him in the lobby of Patterson a while ago and considered telling him that story and jokingly saying, "You did this to me!" Anyway, i didn't.

I see where the confusion is... the GB and the board of directors of the WTBTS were pretty much the same... but the GB gave up the legal dealings of the WTBTS to members of the Great Crowd. Yeah, Bro Larson is Great Crowd, he's president of the Society, but not on the Governing Body. The GB is made up of anointed, while the legal dealings of Jehovah's Oraganization are run by the Great Crowd...
I thought only anointed were appointed to the GB.. there are capable brothers of the Great Crowd who assist, but from what I understand only anointed brothers are on the GB.. if this changed, where is the reference? I must have missed it...

honestly brother Henschel was the tallest elderly person ive ever seen. not that it makes a difference, im just sayin...he was very tall i think like 6 ft.

We didn't get an announcement... but the brother who opened with prayer tonight mentioned it in the prayer...
we had a short announcement and our Bethelites brought out info about the funeral talk with a short life history and posted it on the information board...i didn't get to look at it cus i had to drive a sister home. i'll have to check it out tomorrow.
