i got some bad news for you. It wasn't all that exciting. I was 'swing' dancing a month ago at and old persons function and they wanted to know what i was doing. THey said that what i was doing was something else and what they knew as the real swing was different. I was a bit upset so i just chalked up to them being old and forgetful...

our school took us to go see the dance musical "Swing". very nice, very sultry
sultry? interesting... i liked that play too... it was pretty good, not enuff "swing" in it to be called "Swing" though.
only some parts were "sultry" it was good alttgether. ur right tho, not enuff swing. hit me with a hot note, and watch me bounce...
we learned some cool moves from that play. i just wish i could be attached to that string thing from the ceiling and flip all over the place.

i agree but would like to add it's a great feeling when you kind of know what you're doing and you are dancing and can actually kid around and get a girl to smile. I mean dancing and seeing teeth is special..
...and it feels like the music isn't coming from a band, but it's coming from somewhere inside your heart and trickling out your fingertips as they wrap around his and your eyes are dry from the smoke and from the rush of air as he spins you, but everything is blurry except him. That's a good feeling.
oh my word. COMPLETELY. and the thing of it is, you dont have to be dancing with "someone special" or whatever, but for that split second, that person youre dancing with is the ONLY person on earth. its so weird, yet so amazing!

i would just like to add its tough not to fall in love everytime you dance...
and then changing partners is another story, you get so used to one awesome girl and then you have to start all over with someone different. but then you both get comfortable and then that one girl askes for a dance and then BOOM.
every move is fluid, in time, gracefull, her hair spins an follows her swing flawlesly, and that smile, the smile is all worth it.
then the music stops. i swear, its like falling in love and breaking up in like 3-5 min.
but its worth every single second...

are you joking? do you know how HARD it is to dance with like 10 different guys one after the other... by the end of the song, youve FINALLY gotten used to their style, and each guy has TOTALLY different styles. and now its a brand new song, and you have to get used to the new guy's style... ugh its so frustrating. and also "they can just dance with a guy who can lead" show me 5 guys that can actually LEAD and i will kiss your feet.

yeah, problem is 98% of guys CAN'T lead well or at all. And it's harder than you think to follow a lead, esp when you are used to teaching guys and leading them.
i'm impressed with girl dance instructors who teach a guy how to lead...then teaches a girl how to follow. such a quick switch...
