Those Greedy Scoundrels!
Oh man, leave it to those nasty charitable orginazations to try to rob ya blind! Well that's apparently what's been happening in Australia, where a non-profit organization called PCs for Kids has been doing. Their company is geared towards providing disadvantaged children with computers, what a NOBLE thing to do! Not so it seems, Microsoft originally filed a law suit against PCs for Kids because in the event of rebuilding a computer, they were not paying the lisencing fees for their crappy operating system. PCs for Kids has stripped the multi-billion dollar company of thousands of dollars of revenue.
Look, if this stupid "charity" organization really wanted to help kids in the first place, maybe they would teach kids to use a better operating system. Anyway, Microsoft will take care of these rebels, don't you worry.

Hahaha, thanks for the post matt. I hadn't heard about that. I think this is the first anti-microsoft story posted to ezabel. In case you guys out there didn't pick up on matt's sarcasm, this is actually pretty sad. Microsoft is sueing the people who are giving away old and used computers because the charity wasn't paying the $85 to re-purchase the Microsoft Windows operating system software (the thing that makes the Start button show up in the bottom left of your screen, and let's you choose cool wallpapers for your background).
But the annoying thing about this is that, the Windows operating system had already been bought. It's just that Microsoft requires the $85 fee for a "transfer of the license" to use the software. So, basically, that's like saying, ok, look I bought a new computer, you can have my old one for free, but, oh, don't forget to send Microsoft $85, or you could get sued!
Ian, I love how you put it in simple terms "(the thing that makes the Start button show up in the bottom left of your screen, and let's you choose cool wallpapers for your background)" Is THAT what an operating system is? haha
