eZabel Messages

I went on another coding binge last night. I finished up some new features and put them on the site sometime around 3am. Once you're logged in, you all now have an Inbox. You can now receive private eZabel messages, and you actually reply to them, and delete them if you want. It's great!

So, to actually send a message to somebody, right now you have to do it from their User Info page... here's mine.

When you're on the User Info page, you can see long the user has been active on eZabel, how many musings and things they've posted, and also view their last ten musings, comments and new stories.

Then, you can also choose to send them an eZabel message. Fill out a subject and message body, and hit send. The next time they visit the homepage, they will be told they have new messages. It works nicely!

Update: I put up a little update to the messaging system yesterday. The Inbox now looks a little nicer, and you can sort messages by the various columns. (I'll soon add checkboxes to these for deleting more than one message at a time.)

The biggest change, though, is whenever you get a new message, you'll get a little popup window telling you that you have new messages, with a link to your Inbox. This will work wherever you are on the site. The popup will only come up one time, and go away after 15 seconds if you don't close it click on the link. If you hate the popup, please disable it by unchecking the box. You can always re-enable it by checking the box in your Inbox. I hope you like it!
