Summer summer...

I'm going on vacation this Friday. I'm definitely looking forward to it. Ten days on the good ol' family vacation. I've been camping at the same campground since I was two weeks old. Every year, a big group of us go, and all camp on the same trail. What stinks, though, is that this year, I'm going the wrong week. Everybody is there this week, all of my cousins, aunts, uncles, parents, old camping families and friends... and they'll all be gone by Monday. I'll only get to be there for one weekend with everybody. It's always cool to be with everyone at the same time, because we all hang out and do stuff, play guitar and sing campfire songs, reminisce about the old days... you know, all good stuff. But, oh well, poor planning on my part. At least most of my close friends will be coming camping the same week I am there. That will be very good. Plus, I'll get to spend almost the whole week with my fiance there, and one of her best friends, canadicia. I hope we have great weather.

What else is new....? Well, my company was supposed to have been bought out by another company, but that fell through, and now we've had more layoffs. This place feels really empty now. Some great coworkers are no longer here. Kinda sucks. Layoffs don't do much good for employee morale. Of course, I'm not the only one who works for a company affected by the economic slowdown, the funky fresh, rock supastar and deanh77 also got hit, as well as a few others who probably visit this site. So, now I'm worried about my job. I didn't think it would ever come to this. And I've been an employee for four years!

Regarding the site here, I added a new page to send messages to other eZabelers... If you go into your Inbox, you'll now see a link to Compose a new message. You can pick a user from a list, and send them a message. Now you don't have to go searching for somebody's name to click on to send them a message. It's better this way. Also, since there are over one hundred fifty users registered, the list will only show people who have logged in more than once and have visited the site in the past thirty days.
