Night Court

Well last night, I really learned something new about

our legal system. That and why it is in place. We

think that it is an annoyance or even a pain in the

rear. And it seems you are totally right. It seems

that only the good people are getting pulled over and

harassed by police. That maybe they should spend their

time getting the REAL criminals. The guys whose faces

are on the post office bulletin board with "WANTED"

under it. And I'd agree, until tonight when I saw the

LOSERS at court. I came in dressed as GOOD as I could

manage (top left). Ya know, impress the court maybe.

And then I saw the rest of the people there. They were

dressed in dirty jeans and guns n roses tee shirts (sorta like top right). I

saw people that did the DUMBEST things and got caught

for it. Like this one guy, he got busted for being

drunk on MAIN street... yea... main street Hackettstown.

Another guy who was arrested for drunk driving with

his blood count level SUPER high.

Well then, the

coolest thing happened. Our very own "web toed chloe"

came with me to court. She was SO helpful, making sure

I didn't throw up all over the place and telling me

that it was going to be ok. Even though I forgot the

ticket AND the summons AND my check book to pay the

court fees.. Yea.. I couldn't have messed up ANYMORE.

So she talked to one of the attorneys she knew from

her work and he CAME, represented me, AND got my 4

point ticket dropped down to a 2 point with 87 dollar

court fee. How AWESOME is that??!?!?! THEN, she drove

ALL the way to my house to pick up my checkbook. So

while waiting for her to come back to save my butt, I

was talking to some of the "better" court attendees.

The one guy was mad cause they DIDN'T give him the

breath test, JUST because he fell over his car cause

he was so drunk. I gave him a smile and told him I

didn’t know either.

Anyway, I feel that although

police in general seem to be more of a pain then they

are help. They DO keep these types of people from

driving around. And that’s something that really is

good for EVERYONE.
