UNEMPLOYED!

Ok folks...today, the sad news arrived. My company, the place of employment where I have toiled frivolessly for the last few months, went out of business today. At the office this morning, my CEO spoke of a merger with the potential of saving my company and more importantly, my job, that was on THE BRINK of going through today, she spoke of "good kharma", she spoke of "401 K" plans, she spoke of luxurious office space with friendly people who don't even kick you when you say howdy.

Even so, rumors were flying by the end of the day. Rumors that the company was broke and that we would be out of business by tomorrow. They were all too true. At 10:00PM I recieved a call from the secretary, and unless a last ditch effort goes through tomorrow morning, the company is out of business.

But people, let's all look on the bright side, this layoff allows me to focus all of my energies on building the eZabel network in to a GIANT. And when Ian gets back...boy will he be proud! Come on, lets make him proud people!

I noticed there hasn't been a huge response for the last poll about our reaction to Ian's vacation to Cancun, so I'm putting up a new one. The theme will have to do with my future source of employment, please email me with your ideas! Or you can just post them in the musings, what do you think, should I be a middle school janitor, or should I try to make a living robbing old women? The poll will go up some time tomorrow (Friday), so hurry up and send me some good ones!

Update: Ok, so I haven't put up a new poll. I tried! But Ian, obviously preocupied with his upcoming vacation forgot to give me rights to approve polls. Anyway, I'll try to keep things interesting for ya these next few days, but I know you will all breath a huge sigh of relief when the big man gets back. Post some stories boys!
