Area Man Doubts That Traffic Light Button Actually Does Anything

Area businessman Craig Donnelly furiously pushed a pedestrian crosswalk button for what seemed like eons the other day when normal traffic flow prevented him from crossing the street. "COME ONNNNNNNN!!! I'm late already!! LET'S GO," screamed a visibly distressed Donnelly as he leaned over and proceeded to press the button really really fast, attracting the attention of others. "I doubt these stupid buttons even DO anyth.... well FINALLY!!" yelled Donnelly as he grabbed his briefcase and quickly shuffled accross the street.
The City Traffic Signals Office would like it to be known that the crosswalk button need only be pushed once to be activated.

They should make those signs operate in a complete opposite way. So it will say to walk when the cars are coming. This way you get mowed down when you try to walk. That will really teach you a lesson in life. You will certainly be sorry for listening to that dumb sign.
