for those of you that missed hearing about this earlier, or are too lazy to follow links, the state was a sketch based comedy show that ran in the mid 90's. it was heavily influenced by monty python and is hilarious. check it out if you get a chance.

oh wow. I can't wait for this. I watched this show religiously but I know I missed a few episodes. some of the best stuff ever. like the people driving the fake car around, pretending to get gas while the gas attendent looks all confused and then go off the road and there's a real explosion. so funny.
haha... the only state i can remember is the worste one of course.... There are all these guys doing a play wearing tights and one guy comes out with a noticable 'package' the next guy comes out with a slightly more noticable one the next guy quite oversized... so on and so on, they went so far with that, getting more and more over the top hahaha, it was really funny. I think it was on the state. Maybe not now that i think about itöa
