Music Finder
Now, this probably should fall under the music forum, BUT I was just so excited about this discovery that I thought everyone should know about it.
In my History teachers weekly 'random information' e-mails the following website was included: www.music-finder.net
This site is truly a beautiful thing for it allows you to do several neat searches:
-Search for albums by a particular band/artist
-Explore or buy albums found via the website
-Find new music!
The last search is by far the best and is performed by entering a list of several bands that you enjoy listening to. The finder will then give you a list of bands that they found in relation to the ones you had entered. You can thing chose:
"I know it, I like it"
"I know it, I don't like it"
or "It's new to me"
By doing so you narrow down your list of choices, making it easier for the finder to find new bands to present to you! Enjoy:)

i always wanted a website like this! no seriously
Did you add the "no seriously" after your inner voices called you a liar after your initial exclamation?
that sounded like the longest sentence ever
A good way to find music is to find CDs on amazon of a band you like and the scroll down and look for the "people who bought this also like.." and you find new bands!
that is my favorite way...
looks like a basic amazon affiliate. i've been looking for something to search by song title. ever since cdnow.com merged with amazon, it's been difficult.
yeah, I used to love cdnow.com so easy to grab info from that site, like album covers for albums you got off of Napster. I used to have a script that'd parse their pages for lots of different stuff.
sometimes i use www.artistdirect.com
thanks...i'll check it out.
cdnow was great, i hate the way amazon is so cluttered
yep. my thoughts exactly
im glad you posted this on here and not the music forum, because i probably wouldn't have found it
