The suicide was called "a final act cowardice," by his relatives. He was nicknamed "Dr. Death," because of a "23-year-long killing spree in which he murdered at least 215 of his patients," ..."with heroin injections, making him Britain's -- and one of the world's -- most prolific serial killer."
He was convicted in 2000 of murdering 15 of his patients and sentenced to life in prison. An inquiry later ruled he had murdered at least 215 patients. Of his victims, 171 were female and 44 male. The oldest was a 93-year-old woman and the youngest a man of 41.

I just recently realised that this Dr. Death is a separate one, from the other Dr. Death that has been brought to the attention of the American Public. Apparently, there are TWO Dr. Deaths. Well, now, ONE Dr. Death, being this one is dead. At least, that's my recent understanding.
