Contest!! The Next 72 Hours ONLY!

Here it is. The idea that will make your weekend the best one of the summer. Either you’re in, or you sit back and hear the stories. Either way, it’ll be something that gets talked about until snowboarding season.

First, think about all the famous people you know who live around here. Our area is crawling with famous people. Stand around your local Mercedes or Jaguar dealership, you'd probably meet a few. Hang outside the Plaza hotel for an hour, you could probably meet 10. You might even have some in your town. Find out where they shop, or get their dry cleaning done, or whatever.

The deal is you get a friend (or two at MOST), and meet famous people. And take your picture with them. Whoever meets the most famous people (or most interesting) wins. That’s it. Use a digital camera (find a friend who has one). Starting 6 PM Friday, ending Midnight Sunday/ Monday morning (if you're in another time zone, it doesn't matter). Nick and I are giving a $70 American Express gift card to the winners ($35 per team member, ok? If you want to contribute to the pot, let me know.) If you don’t want to play – that’s cool. I’ll keep the money. I’ll also send everyone the best stories I hear, so send me some good ones.

Rules –

1. Max of 3 people per team. 2 is better, because it’s more money for you if you win.
2. You must be in the picture, and have the pictures to me by 6 PM Monday. Email,please. I’ll let you know who won after Nick and I judge.
3. No saying “this person was in blah blah soap opera for a week” or “this guy played for the Giants in 1984, and he was great” – if Nick and I haven’t heard of them, they don’t count.
4. No trespassing, breaking in, or anything illegal. If it’s doesn’t seem like a good idea, don’t do it.

UPDATE: We'll also accept pictures of lookalikes, if they're REALLY good. We also need a lot of pictures of mullets! She-mullets, especially!
