The Roadtrip

Hey guys! This is Mikayla & Candace reporting more stories from down under. The past couple of days have been great but crazy. Yesterday we caught a moped, yes a moped, and rode for 40 minutes to our destination. No, we didn't drive, there were 3 of us on it. After riding that, then we got on a horse and rode for 4km - so you can imagine how our butts felt. Then we walked for an additional 20-30 minutes up & down mountains. Mikayla slipped, I of course laughed - then, the next thing I knew I was picking myself up off the ground completely covered in mud. But the trip was worth it because we got to see this amazing waterfall, went swimming in the pool below, and best of all, we got to see European's most amazing sight - THE SPEEDO!?!?!?! Coming home we rode in a pickup truck - the bed of course because the cab was already full with 9 or 10. Then today we rode a motogoncho which is a moped with a little carriage attached. This guy was tricky - he agreed to 60 pesos each so we got in. A little ways down the road (in the middle of nowhere) he stopped, turned around, and wanted to change plans. He wanted us to pay 250 pesos each so that he would just stay at the beach with us & then take us home. We were irritated, fought a little bit, and then just made him continue to drive. We finally get to the beach & are getting our money out & he says "Oh, just pay later." We were like what is he talking about. He insisted on the 250 pesos deal so we gave him 150 - a little extra than the first offer - got to the beach, and then ran!! The beach was pretty, a little dirty but we got to hang there & get some rays. There are crazy stories just about every day we are here so I´m sure we´ll have more to tell. Got to run for now because the guy with the machine gun sitting behind us is giving dirty looks. Later gators!!! *Mikayla & Candace*
