this post isn't really stimulating many comments now is it?
Well..it isn't really specific. Like what type of college degree did you get if you did go?
Wasn't there a thread about that recently?
I can't think tonight but I vaguely remember talking about something along the lines of careers.
I think this poll would be better if we could vote "yes" and "college is 4 losers!!!".
i will be in college... soon
everyone needs goals, bucko
hush it Dan, i WILL go to college in september... it'll be BCC... but its still counts!
Which BCC would that be?
the University of Southern Paramus. I went there for a year, just a rest stop on the way to somewhere else on the interstate of life.
Cool! I got to the University of SOuthern Randolph.
hahaha yes the University of Southern Paramus... basically, BCC is the 13th and 14th years of high school haha every one at my school goes there just cuz we can..
That's exactly what CCM is! I saw a kid I went to High School with and he asked me how I was enjoying 13th grade.
I went to college for a year and then, since I had to pay for it myself... it got too expensive and time-wasty. I duno, i don't really think that college helps OR hinders your "career" ... there are plenty of college graduates working as landscapers and The Limited Too sales associates. Anyone could do that. Especially mexicans, mexicans are definitely real.
haha i FULLY intend to keep working at the mall while i'm going to college... but after I actully get my degree... theres no WAY that I would go back to working there haha
You might change your mind if you can't find a better job. A college degree is in no way a guarantee that you can get better employment.
yeah, but it helps more then not having one...i mean some jobs you couldnt even begin to get a job in without a degree
yeah, that can be true, and i didn't mean to knock anyone's college degree or whatever. I just think it's more about what goals you set for yourself and how determined you are to achieve them. There are people with Masters Degrees out there working at the mall, and there are high school dropouts that are millionaires. If you put everything into having a "career" .. you'll achieve it, whether it be pioneering of marine biology or acting or whatever. It's all in the mind and heart. It's not just about the piece of paper. Anyone can get a piece of paper. Look I'm holding a piece of paper right now. Ooh it's nice..
It also helps if you choose the right major. I'm kinda worried that I'm not going to be able to find a job if I choose not to go into academia since so many companies seem to want people with engineering degrees.
They are real..I wish I was one.
I intendedto go to colege but pretty much at the last minute decided against it. HTe career i wanted i dont want anymore. So right now i guess i'd be happy with a good enough job to keep me goin. Perhaps i should go to a community college and get some training in a trade, that would be good. But really, i dont know. I oncetold my teacher that for me college would be a waste of timee and she was all outraged. I guess i still feel kinda the same way, jsut not so strongly. The IDEAl thing for me would be able to get a job where they train you to do it. Then I would havea good job and training in a trade.
