i have friends who waitressed and i know some of the crap some people put them through and gave horrible or no tips. i always make sure to not be like that.
me too. i always try to leave extra good tips for jackasses who don't leave anything. last nite at the restuarant a person left $4 off of a $50 check. i always feel real bad when they get jupped.
ouch. I hate bad tippers. I even wrote an op/ed about it in a local newspaper, hehehe. That extra couple bucks can mean SO much.
I mean, if you're not gonna tip well, just don't go out to eat, don't get your hair cut, don't get services done for you, just do it yourself and see how you like it!! pfft!!
I think getting services done, like hair and nails is different. Sometimes I'll tip, sometimes i wont, i usually never go get my hair cut cause either brandon or my aunt will do it so i never tip for that.(.! .! . . )
When i get my nails done it depeands, I never tip when im getting a massage or facial cause usually they already include the 17 to 20 % tip in the price.
Really the only time i always tip and tip well is at restaurants.
yea i tip more for beauty stuff cus it takes skills and effort to suck up to me =P
ha ha
I'll keep that in mind
dude want to cut my hair?
oh please, i dont cut hair, i can barely style my own
one time myself, my old roomate and her cousin all cut each others hair-what a nightmare that was. i gave them mushroom cuts muahaha
Yeah some of the stories my sister has from when she waitressed were bad.
I can't stand when I'm out with a group and people put in for exactly what the price was on the menu. Hello!? Tax & tip! It just erks me.
I KNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
I HATE THAT
15-20% at least is what should be left unless the service is horrible. They make like 1.25 an hour man they live on their tips.
i always try to give bigs tips to them when they take good care of me. i always really appreciate a good waiter or waitress
Yeah a good one is hard to find anymore they really do need to be tipped well when you get a really good one. I completely agree.
same here, if they're awesome i always tip big and then i'll talk to the mgr to let them know what an awesome job our waiter/waitress did.
Yeah, I eat out a lot, and at my regular spots, my waitresses or , preferably, waiters know me. They always look out and I kick 'em a little extra for it.
whenevre i give good advice. someone should tip me
Yeah but the problem with that is then you would never get tipped. :-P
NO.
theres an applebees really close to me and they have half price appetizers after ten and cheap drinks and stuff, so every now and then we go in there and indulge...well, they have most horrid, evil and heious waiting staff EVER. they're all VERY rude, awful servants, and i'm not the shallow type, but they're all brutally folded [my word for ugly]. i'd almost RATHER blow all the extra money and go somewhere else...
CHEAP DRINKS? a grey goose and cran is 7 bucks.
anyway you should come up with me whenever i go to my applebees.. kayo and megan are very sweet and HOT..almost kristin kreuk like.... and you can't beat free drinks... and free toys. !!!
oh, yeah! point being--sometimes we tip normal, but sometimes they get like a dollar! waitress hags.
thats a great description, brutally folded.....LOL
o man we totally take advantage of that too! every thursday we all go to Applebees after the meeting and get half price apitizers! lol
every tuesday after our meeting we go! it's a ritual. and its cool cuz applebees is actually the closest place to our hall.
hold on now...i have some issues
you ever go out with a group, everyone puts in money, plus extra for tip...and then you realize that tip has already been included in the final bill price. so we've just tipped twice.
and lately, i've noticed some REALLY crappy customer service in resturants i've been to. how hard is it to give attention to the customers, maybe chat a little, recommend some foods, since you're the expert? how many times have you talked to a waiter and said "How is this dish?" and they say "i don't know" or you ask for a recommendation of something spicy "i dont like spicy food"...sheesh. make soemthing up. and don't just ask "do you want dessert?"....how about..."hey, guys, you're not REALLY full, are you? because we have three pieces of Death by Chocolate in the kitchen that are the size of a small child"...man, UPSELL...so your tip is bigger.
i agree... i've noticed a LOTTA bad service recently... people are just plain lazy
