i believe this to be true.

i truly think when a person is drunk they lose all inhabition and speak what they feel.

I had a question for my psych teacher and asked why there one could be a "mean" drunk, when, in "normal" everyday life the person can be the sweetest. His answer to me was that the "mean" in the drunk was the person's true personality. But in everyday life the person learns to control it and be the person they need to be. Being drunk they lose all inhabition and are the "real" person.

This I agree with. Being inebriated is like being pumped with a truth serum. A sober person can reason on the outcome of their actions & words thus avoiding potentially ebarrassing repercussions...somebody who's thrown back one too many, on the other hand not so much with the reasoning.

I guess I agree with this.

There is a reason why guys, when they've had a few beers, start sayin "I love you man" "No..i love YOU man.." "NO, I LOVE You man"

haha either (a) they are gay but don't know it yet or (b)they are good friends so they love each other but that would not be manly to say in 'real life'

I absolutely agree with this...I don't think anyone can ever use the excuse "well I was drunk/drinking, and thats why I did/said...whatever", because I believe that they only did/said what they wanted to do sober, but didn't have the guts to do.

In other words....alcohol-induced "cajones" if you will :)

"they only did/said what they wanted to do sober, but didn't have the guts to do" or should not develop the guts to do. not every desire should be acted on.

i disagree... Everyone is imperfect, everyone has imperfect things about them. A normally laid back person, after overdrinking just may not have the mental awareness and may not have the restraint that they normally have. This has nothing to do with guts, but rather just being imperfect. Thats why the society warns against over drinking... not cause some drunk witness hit on a girl at a bar... but cause things can happen to anyone while they are drunk.

this is a good point - it's not so much brave but it's just easier to know what's right and wrong when you're under the influence. One brother broke this down at the distric convention .. i think last year? -

Intoxicated = poisoned in the mind

deep yet simple. i love it!
