This is really tough. I could eat Mexican food everyday, but I think, on the whole, my favorite food is sushi, so I have to say Japanese

specialk #2 specialkOG 2003

I picked Italian.

Not Olive Garden, not chainstore pizza, but pizza eaten on the street in Rome. Sitting in that little out of the way place, where they have never, ever seen tourists ITALIAN. Good times, with good friends!

thefunkyfresh #7.1 thefunkyfreshFounder

u mean where they have never seen tourists before you went there right?

M
#7.1.1 monsterEst. 2006

Touché :-P

Well, yeah, no English anywhere, they looked at us with disgust, that we found a place the locals ate at. It was a bit of a hyperbole but that was the way it felt!

tesoro #7.2 tesoroOG 2001

totally agreed...the off the beaten path restaurants were the best in italy...the real tourist-y places werent that great.

malibu #7.3 malibuOG 2001

isnt the pizza in italy totally different. like really flat. and they dont have the sweet crazy combos that we rock it out with.

M
#7.3.1 monsterEst. 2006

It is totally different stuff, but to reminisce about a trip... priceless.

Although I do appreciate 'movie pizza' delivered by a smarmy fellow, no change my butt, in a basement watching 'So I married an axe Murderer' :-)

But movie pizza as a cuisine choice, naut gonna du it!

hunkpapap #7.3.1.1 hunkpapapOG 2003

so i married an axe murderer eh? great movie

tesoro #7.3.1.2 tesoroOG 2001

i don't think it's much different...(the plain at least) it was better but not too different.

theremin #8 thereminOG 2002

Out of these choices, I would hafta go by the order of Greek, Thai, Indian, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, and I guess whatever American means. Only reason Italian & Mexican are so far down on the list, is because I really can't have the acidyness. Taste wise, is okay tho. And, if American means fast food, forget that altogether.

web-toedchloe #8.1 web-toedchloeOG 2001

Yeah! Greek food is the best. :)

thatdarngirl #9 thatdarngirlOG 2002

I picked Japanese. If I ever have to see Italian food after this trip again I'm going to cry.

tesoro #10 tesoroOG 2001

who picked indian? i enjoy all these foods except indian, blegh.

thefunkyfresh #10.1 thefunkyfreshFounder

maybe somebody who is indian? but nice job insulting their heritage!

hunkpapap #10.1.1 hunkpapapOG 2003

the last time i ate indian food it tasted like old socks. Not an exaggeration, it tasted exactly like my old socks smell like. I do like their bread tho...

theremin #10.1.1.1 thereminOG 2002

theremin #10.1.2.1 thereminOG 2002

Right on bruva. (I'm partly American Indian) hahaha

tesoro #10.1.3 tesoroOG 2001

hahah, i just happen not to like curry!

theremin #10.2 thereminOG 2002

Indian's good. I think. I like Lamb Tiki (think it's called) a lot

juicymango #10.3 juicymangoOG 2003

i think you have to know what to get.. i had indian food once, just once, and at first i was just kind of jolted because it was so different from anything i've ever tasted

but i want to eat it again haha it was kind of good

and also the tea i had with it was so amazing, it was like Chai but different and better, i have been trying to replicate it ever since

juicymango #11 juicymangoOG 2003

i really wanna try moroccan food

socalgal #11.1 socalgalOG 2003

theres this place in newport beach that we love going to, it's moroccan...do you guys wanna try it when you're out here? its seriously like a 12 course meal, you eat with your hands, sit on pillows and have belly dancers coming around dancing....it's SO much fun!

theremin #11.1.1 thereminOG 2002

I want to! Moroccan food rocks!

socalgal #11.1.1.1 socalgalOG 2003

come on down!

juicymango #11.1.2 juicymangoOG 2003

oh my goodness YES!!!

theremin #11.2 thereminOG 2002

Where I lived in London, there was believe it or not, 2 Moroccan restaurants within a 30 second walk and a 2 minute walk. I only ate in the latter one once, one evening by myself, and had some awesome cous cous, before heading over to Soho for dancing. Altho I probably picked the wrong night for cous cous. It tastes very good, but don't eat like that right before going to dance. hahaha

It's funny tho, I was ready to mention Moroccan food in this forum.

I've also had Ethiopian food. That's pretty good too. Well, I guess it all depends on what the food is. Whatever I had was good.

hunkpapap #11.3 hunkpapapOG 2003

I konw the absolute best moroccan restaurant in the city. Their cigars are the best

tesoro #11.3.1 tesoroOG 2001

aw, i miss people saying "the city" ...whenever i talk to people around here, i say "the city" because in NY that always means NYC..but i usually have to clarify for PAers.
