eZabel Legacy

Hayley joined eZabel in November 2000 — one of the very first members — and maintained the most wonderfully unhurried relationship with the site imaginable. She posted 4 comments in 2001, 1 in 2002, then disappeared for nearly four years before popping back in July 2006 with a casual "hi everyone... just checking out v3." Her final comment, on New Year's Day 2007, was a confession that she had pulled a muscle playing Wii — "I think I am officially too old for video games" — though she could swing that cow farther than anyone, thank you very much. iwz responded by suggesting she invest in a helmet and a walker. In between these sporadic appearances, she contributed a word-association game entry that included "Chicken - CLUCK," "Mini Me - MIDGETS," and "Laser Guided Missiles - KABOOOMM!/DESERT STORM," which told you everything about her sense of humor in ten bullet points. She expressed deep concern about whether V8 juice contained pig blood, listed life's simple pleasures (sleeping in, good music, those lollipops with gum in the middle), and described falling off an icy porch at 7 a.m. onto concrete — which punkprincess immediately topped with her own ice-related disaster story. With 106 logins and just 8 comments spanning seven years, Hayley was eZabel's most patient lurker: always around, rarely speaking, but reliably funny when she did.

eZabel Personality Type: INTP — "The Periodic Visitor." She treated eZabel like a favorite coffee shop she wandered into once a year, left something memorable on the table, and slipped out before anyone could ask where she'd been.
