eZabel Legacy
Ian McClendon arrived on eZabel in February 2004 and did something remarkable: he posted all 11 of his comments on a single day, February 13th, and managed to interact with 43 different members in the process. His domain was the Games forum, where he delivered a sprawling Xbox-vs-PS2 manifesto — praising KOTOR, Crimson Skies, and Mechassault while admitting he deliberately left Halo off the list, then comparing the PS2's online service to "a group of Jersey City cops trying to stop a crazed driver." He swapped MMO war stories with fivezero, lamenting the EverQuest raids that took two days straight and the guild politics that drove him out. When asked about original games he played as a kid, he offered: "climb the warehouse roof and run around on it until i got caught." He quoted Billy Madison and Star Wars in the same comment, suggested tickling as "a sensible alternative to punching someone in the head," and drew a warm "EEYEN! Hi!" from modestjesse, suggesting he was already known to the community before he ever logged on. His AIM handle "Tronsta" and his Social Butterfly badge tell the same story: a gamer and a people person in equal measure.
eZabel Personality Type: ENTP — "The One-Day Wonder." Ian blew through eZabel like a LAN party that ran too late — loud, funny, quotable, and over before anyone was ready for it to end.
