eZabel Legacy

Giorgio from New Jersey was a member of the band Guilderbell and eZabel's most devoted music forum regular — all nine of his comments lived in Music Talk, and every one of them revealed someone with deep, opinionated taste in rock. He saw Rush in Philadelphia in 1990 at age eleven, which he credited with infecting him with "the show bug" for life. His favorite albums list read like a classic rock curriculum: Pink Floyd's Animals and Meddle, Rush's 2112, Yes's Close to the Edge, King Crimson's Red, and Tool's Aenima (which he listened to on tape until it broke). He got into a spirited debate with aviator about whether Mother Love Bone was grunge or glam, arguing that "when the band is wearing makeup and zebra striped bandanas they are more related to Poison than any grunge band." He championed Neil Young as the godfather of grunge and recalled seeing him live with Soundgarden and Blind Melon as openers. Despite his strong opinions, he was generous about other people's musical pursuits — "no one should be discouraged from pursuing their musical expressions whether it be guitars or kazoos or maybe even an accordion." fivezero and starshiptrooper were his closest conversation partners, and he attended ten eZabel events, more than many members with far higher comment counts.

eZabel Personality Type: ISTJ — "The Vinyl Archivist." Nine comments, all music, all substance. Giorgio was the guy at the party standing by the stereo, quietly making sure the playlist was worthy — and if you put on something fake, he would let you know.
