you misunderstood what they said. you run your own proxy server on your own computer. Proximitron is a proxy server. You point your browser to use a proxy on localhost:8080, which is your own...

you install it locally. it's a program that runs on your computer and filters only your internet connection. no spying/other people's computers involved.

maybe, they've already appealed. but still! what was that jury thinking?!

i highly suggest checking out The Proxomitron. i use it on all my computers. it strips out all kinds of things, like pop-ups, banner ads, etc. it's highly configurable.
