eZabel Legacy

Rob from New Jersey arrived on eZabel in the summer of 2002 and spent his brief window of activity doing two things with equal enthusiasm: encouraging ekulu and calling out delliott101. His longest comment was a thoughtful pushback on one of Dave Elliott's journal entries about encouraging friends — Rob gently pointed out that singling out specific people as your biggest encouragers might make others feel left out, then immediately softened it with "Just messing with you Dave — but then again I do speak truth in this." That was Rob in a nutshell: sincere enough to say the thing nobody else was thinking, self-aware enough to laugh about it. He browsed 280 photos, read 9 journals, and recognized Jackie from Hazlet in one of the photo albums with the confident specificity of someone who knew everyone in the tri-county area. He served on the Regional Building Committee doing first aid and framing, talked about his love for a group called Secret Garden — "they have a big mix of an Irish, Celtic, Symphony classical-ish sound. THEY RULE!!!" — and could do the dance from an unspecified music video, which he was quite proud of. His 9 comments and 102 logins made him a true Supreme Lurker: always reading, rarely posting, but making every comment count when he did.

eZabel Personality Type: ENFJ — "The Encourager." Rob showed up, built people up, dropped a few truth bombs wrapped in humor, and moved on — leaving behind just enough to make you wish he'd stuck around longer.
