i'm the opposite. i don't like her under normal circumstances but i think she's a swell mary jane. who do you think would have been better?

I don't know who would have been better, but there are definite things about her as Mary Jane I don't like:
-She's not sassy enough
-She doesn't wear cowboy boots

..actually..there aren't real reasons she just doesn't fit my MJ vision.

fair enough. but keep in mind she's still young. she's not the Mary Jane Watson Parker that she'll grow up to be. she's not an actress yet and she's still finding herself, i suppose. it was enough for me when she called peter "tiger." i saw the sass coming out a bit. i guess she did a good enough job in my eyes.

I agree with you, I don't dig Kirsten Dunst as MJ. However, it could be worse...Lizzie McGuire could've been cast as Mary Jane.
