Spielberg's War of the Worlds teaser
http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/waroftheworlds/large.html
H.G. Wells yea?
Speeeelberggggg and Cruuiiiseeee
i'm very excited about this. it was on a very accelerated shooting schedule, so i hope it doesn't appear rushed. i have faith in the WHOLE creative department here though. the writer! david koepp. is completely amazing. check out some of the things he's done. http://imdb.com/name/nm0462895/
Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Teaser!
http://mp3content01.bcst.yahoo.com/bmfroot02/BMFShare02/yahoomovies/4/10140065.mov
OH. MY. GOODNESS. What on EARTH...!? This looks amazing. If a little TOO slap-sticky. Still. Depp? Burton? Elfman? I'm there.
tim burton is such a nut. i love it!!
JULY!? C'mon! I can't wait for this.
can't wait for this. I'm implementing my "no trailer" policy for this movie. so I'll have to take your word for it.
This looks so insane. I'm excited.
Mr and Mrs Smith. A movie with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Looks amazing. In that "violent, cheesy" kinda way. Cut and paste the monstrosity below! http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&cf=mf_frame&id=1808623299&mspid=1808623793&mfurl=http://mediaframe.yahoo.com/launch?lid=wmv-100-p.1310564-140317,wmv-300-p.1310565-140317,wmv-700-p.1310566-140317,wmv-56-p.1310563-140317&p=movies&f=1808623299&.spid=1808623793&.dist=Twentieth%20Century%20Fox&type=t
That looks so dumb..I can't wait to see it!!
hahahaha GREAT! Take 2 of the hottest people alive. Put them in a movie. Make things blow up, and make them shoot guns at each other. IT"S BRILLIANT!!! i can't wait
I know. As corny as this looks. Count me in. Twice.
Anyone seen the preview for "Flight of the Phoenix?" Looks good, and it's rated PG-13.
I want to see it. I'm a fan of Dennis Quiad and Giovanni Ribisi. I like desert adventures.
I like desert adventures too. And DESSERT adventures....YUM!!
who's seen the trailer for: Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events yay for jim carey in a children's film!
me! me! i want to see that!
ever read the books?
nope. any good?
not sure. that's why i asked. :)
my mom tells me that they're amazing!!! when she saw the preview she was shocked that off all the childrens books she made us read she neglected to tell us about those.
im afeared of him.
I want to see this. Amazing wordrobe and set design.
Tyler wants to see this SO badly. I have never read the books....I just know that it's about a bunch of bad things that happen to these kids. I told Tyler if there's no huge amounts of magic and stuff in it (Like Harry Potter and stuff), then I'd take him to see it. So, if anyone finds anything out about it, let me know. :)
hear any rumors that Renee Zellweger will play Janis Joplin in a movie? i can't see that at all.
boooooooooo on that! doubtful.
A.J. Langer (Rayanne Graff from My So Called Life) MUCH better fit. Plus, I think she has a much better voice.
aww! i love her. remember that sister show she was on? i loved that show.
hey she might be good to play you in the movie of my life
http://www.tvtome.com/images/shows/0/7/98-1699.jpg
great show. she is almost as wacky as me. i wonder what she's like in real life.
I have...it was between her and Pink....Renee won.
*NEWS* Ahhh, yes. We've got a very good actor playing the lead of the movie adaptation of The DeVinci Code
http://www.comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=7198
bah he's going to overact that. totally can't see him in that role.
Russel Crow should do it.
*tidbit* A teaser trailer for the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy flick.
http://aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=18813
Looks interesting.
can't wait. i'm loving these books.
*What/The*
Master Juen Wo-Ping, martials arts choreographer of ALL your favorite action movies, is hooking up with Michael Choban for a flick. Choban did Wonderboys. One of my favorite movies. Oh, the flick? A new take on Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Read more. It's WAY worth it.
http://aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=18712
how can no one appreciate this?!
*PEEP/THIS*
Our first look at Depp as Willy Wonka.
http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2004492939,00.html
i think this movie is a stupid idea... whats the point of a remake??
It isn't a remake. It's a new adaption of the book. The writer of the screen play that'll be used hasn't seen the movie, only read the book.
what someone needs to do is The Great Glass Elevator
Tim Burton should option it. That'd be boss.
i could think of no better man for the job
or just make one big loooong movie. id watch it. im glad it looks like they are staying in the spirit of the book. roald dahl was one melancholy dude. matilda with danny devito was pretty well done, i think.
first movie had a lot of differences from the book. (I just recently re-read it thanks to forreste!)
For one, I think only the oompa-loompas sing, and they aren't those sad green-and-orange little dwarfs, they are really happy and funny short people.
you left out black.
http://www.roalddahlfans.com/books/charoompa.php
i haven't read all his books?! completely unacceptable.
ive only read the popular ones: the bfg, matilda, charlie and the chocolate factory, charlie and the great glass elevator, and james and the giant peach.
same i dont think ive ever even seen the others in libraries or stores.
i dont feel im missing much. i would like to read a few others but its not critical. the twits and the witches look interesting.
well, in the version I have, from the pictures, you can't tell they're black. I'll have to go back and re-read the descriptions. according to that article you posted, the text was revised.
i have my childhood book. maybe you read a post-revision. understandable.
He actually just looks like the bad hatter in that picture.
any buzz on what they are doing with the oompa loompas? are they going to portray them accurately as in the book (african pygmys) or go with the elf look of the gene wilder movie?
Pygmies.
yes! that was a dumb attempt at political correctness.
what is the meaning of this nonsense?!
Finally. Ocean's 12. Loved the first one. Love the director. Love the cast. It's a win-win-win situation. Watch the new trailer.
http://oceans12.warnerbros.com/
This actually looks pretty sweet! I thought it was a dumb idea because the first one was just a remake of an original..so why make a sequal? But, they haven't ruined it!
Sad news, confirmed. Singer must REALLY like Superman. The X-Men franchise will take a blow for this. Singer's relationship with some of the actors was why the cast shaped up so well. Some key actors many not return. Also now, tonally, the third X-Men film will different. Now when they release a boxed set with the 3 films one will be directed someone else and the continuity is SHATTERED! Hurts. The studio must be losing sleep over this.
Capone: Was it a tough decision to leave X-MEN at a point in the series where the plot for the next film, or at least part of the plot, was so clearly set up in X-2?
Brian Singer: I had a very strong vision for the next X-MEN picture. But SUPERMAN has always been a dream of mine. Things weren't moving as quickly as...it was difficult, and I love those actors and I have a strong relationship with the X-Men universe. I'm still taking over the writing of Ultimate X-Men for a year, so I'm by no means out of that universe. But I've had an idea for a SUPERMAN movie for many years, so for me the fact that it was available and Warner Bros. was willing to take everything it had spent 11 years developing with three other directors and throw it completely out and let me start from scratch at an accelerated level of time...once they showed the willingness, the desire and excitement to do that after my pitch, it became an obvious choice for me, but a difficult one.
dang. that stinks. everyone knows marvel rules, dc drools.
This makes me really sad..the X-men movies had such potential.
Paul W.S. Anderson is a hack and a franchise killer! GIVE HIM NOTHING! DEFINITELY NOT MY BELOVED Driver! Ugh! the D.O.A movie could be very hot though.
* Director Paul W.S. Anderson, producer Jeremy Bolt and their Impact Films are developing the video game adaptations D.O.A. and DRIVER, as well as a low-budget supernatural thriller titled THE DARK. Additionally, Screen Gems, Impact's partner on the RESIDENT EVIL films, is working with Anderson and Bolt on developing a third film for the franchise.
Good Move. Lets hope Dave Benoiff is worth his weight.
* David Benioff (TROY) will write WOLVERINE, a spinoff focusing on the signature character from the X-MEN series, for Twentieth Century Fox. Benioff will write with the expectation that a deal will be made for Hugh Jackman to reprise his role as the title character. Twentieth Century Fox will develop WOLVERINE while simultaneously prepping its third installment of X-MEN.
This has the potential to be really awesome. Wolverine has such an amazing story that they barely touched upon in the second movie. He was involved with WWII and had some dealings with Captain America. Hugh Jackman better play him otherwise it'd be nothing.
oh yeah.
STRANGER THAN FICTION!
* Fox 2000 has tapped John Woo [Hard Boiled, The Killer, Face/Off, Broken Arrow, Paycheck] to direct and produce HE-MAN, a live-action pic based on the characters in Mattel's MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE line of action figures. Adam Rifkin will adapt the screenplay.
Isn't He-Man somehow related to the Princess of Powers?
Okay. THIS isn't an option for me to see, but isn't the story totally insane?! What the heck!?
* Johnny Depp will star in and produce a feature adaptation of the Gregory David Roberts novel SHANTARAM for Warner Bros., Brad Grey and Initial Entertainment. Roberts will adapt the book, which is set in the 1980s, and is about an Australian heroin addict convicted of robbery. He escapes from a maximum-security prison and flees to India and reinvents himself as a doctor in the slums of Bombay. He gets involved in counterfeiting, smuggling and gunrunning, which leads him to Afghanistan, where he and a mob boss battle the Russians.
Still I ask: What the heck?!
Go Johnny Depp!! This sounds crazy.
The Life Aquatic
http://www.apple.com/trailers/touchstone/the_life_aquatic/
why does it have to be rated R?
breaks my little heart.
I like the line: "are you finding what you're looking for, out here with me? I hope so." Wes Anderson's got the BEST lines.
ADDITIONAL MOVIE CLIPS FROM THE LIFE, AQUATIC WITH STEVE ZISSOU. really funny stuff. http://aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=18868 [TWO, ALL THE WAY AT THE BOTTOM]
hah i like the music too

*NEWS* Crowe, Clooney, Hanks, and Jackman Battle for Role
Star actors Russell Crowe, George Clooney, Tom Hanks and Hugh Jackman are battling for the lead role in movie adaptation of best-seller The Da Vinci Code. The film's director, Ron Howard will choose which actor would best suit the role of Robert Langdon, who discovers clues in Leonardo Da Vinci's paintings, which lead to the discovery of a religious mystery protected by a secret society for 2000 years. The novel's author, Dan Brown is currently suing Lewis Perdue, who claims his work has been plagiarized and is planning a rival Da Vinci film with reality TV king Mark Burnett.
This could be cool. Ron Howard exudes quality. I HATE Mark Burnett. Greedy Sensational Money Grubbing Exec.
Ron Howard, definately better man for the job.
better than whom?
im thinking crowe is the best for the role out of those guys.
A VERY good review of the new Star Wars Trilogy DVD set. Check out what you get in this lil package. SO worth it.
http://aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=18383
a remake of the BAD NEWS BEARS appears to be in the works. with Richard Linklater directing and Billy Bob Thornton playing the drunken little league coach. sounds like a homerun to me. chehehe.
http://aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=18309
I was just told that (according to a local radio staion) that JESUS!!!! has been cast to play Superman in the upcoming "Superman" film.
That's a really intersting choice, as far as I'm concerned. Not sure how that's gonna work for them.
(For those of you wondering, by "Jesus", I mean Jim Caviezel, who played Jesus in "The Passion of the Christ."
Hahaha..I thought you actually meant Jesus which made it all the more hilarious when you were saying you didn't think it was going to work for them.
HAHAHAHA!!! That's so funny!! Now THAT is a real Superman, hahahahaha.
(ok, really cheesy, I know)
Why is Jim Caviezel so hot, and too old for me??? Life is a cruel joke.
A lil snippet of an interview with Brian Singer, director of the X-Men movies and director slated to tackle the Superman flicks.
***Capone: Is there any truth to the reports on the internet that you have a deadline to lock in the main cast or Warner Bros. will step in a do it for you?
Brian Singer.: No, that's absurd. I read that too and think it's just bizarre about James Caviezel, who's a wonderful actor. But, no, I've always been committed to casting an unknown.***
There you have it folks. I knew it wasn't true!
KUNG FU HUSTLE! trailer for this new japanese movie in glorious quicktime! funny stuff!
http://www.bvi.com.tw/mov_wall/mov8.htm
Robert DeNiro...hands down!
I totally respect Robert DeNiro he just has a way about him.
Ever notice how people just say DeNiro like we should know who it is?
This guy has got connections I don't know what kind I don't wanna know, he just does.
A very special film. From Wes Anderson, the director of Bottle Rocket, Rushmore and the Royal Tenenbaums. THE LIFE AQUATIC! Watch the trailer for this gem and tell me what you's think. http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&cf=mf_frame&id=1808562850&mspid=1808591000&mfurl=http://mediaframe.yahoo.com/launch?lid=wmv-300-p.1282923-131588,wmv-56-p.1282921-131588,wmv-100-p.1282922-131588&p=movies&f=1808562850&.spid=1808591000&.dist=Touchstone%20Pictures&type=t
Finding Neverland! this movie looks so awesome. i heard about it a long time ago and then never again. it's baa-aack! Johnny Depp is the man!

Batman Begins Teaser Trailer
http://pdl.warnerbros.com/wbmovies/batmanbegins/teaser/teaser_hi_a.mov
Oh yeah!! I <3 Christian Bale!
Wow that's kind of strange though. A live action transformers movie. Interesting very interesting indeed, I look forward to seeing how they plan on doing this.
quick look at summer films: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4799141/
wow. i wanna see like 10 movies on that list. Collateral looks majorly awesome, too bad it's gonna be R. Hero was great. and Benji? welcome back, old boy!
YAY! I love Benji.
King Arthur, Thunderbirds, Open Water, and Benji look like ones I'd wanna see.
I'm going to go see King Arthur tonight, it looks so good I can't wait to see it.
Shoot. It's already playing there. I envy.
Yeah it came out today actually. lol
Right forgot about that. July 7. Not sure when the UK release date is. But remember not to complain about 8$ to see it, cuz I'll hafta pay 8pounds (aka about 16 dollars).
Well I thought it was pretty good overall. Couple spots that were kind of cheesy but I still liked it.
so you've seen king arthur?
Did you feel it to be fairly accurate? Of course there's so many different accounts of King Arthur, but were any obvious "additives" and/or "replacements" and/or et al?
Well the time period for it is not what you would normally think of with King Arthur. It was taken from a more realistic viewpoint.
It's 8.50 and I don't complain about the price when it's a movie I want to see.
Easy now, easy haha
I'm trying but it always feels like such a rip off. lol
King Arthur finally opens next Friday, July 30, here.
So let me know what you thought of it when you see it.
i still have not seen it! there are SO many movies i need to see!
Well it seems some of the other people I went there with didn't like it nearly as much as I did but I'd still say it was good. What other movies out do you want to see?
anchorman, spiderman, notebook, napolean dynomite....so many
You sitll haven't seen spiderman 2? Man that's crazy, you need to get yourself to the movies.
i know! i was all over the first one...i was there opening night!
Keira Knightly is featured in today's London Evening Standard Metro Life supplement. I could already tell you what I think about her
Va Va Voom
My older sister called her "The poor man's Natalie Portman"
Keira > Portman
both HOT on different levels
have you seen the previews for that new movie, Garden State with Natalie Portman? it looks SO good ANNNNNNDDDDD it's rated R for RAD!!!!!! :P
Well, dress me in rags, make my hair scraggly, and call me Poor.
So, I saw "King Arthur" last night, which was its opening night here. I liked it for being probably the most realistic version done to date. I'm pretty certain it wasn't totally accurate... i mean, well, how could they make it totally accurate, if there is so much pieces in the puzzle of this time period missing. The one complaint I have tho... I wish there was more of a story development rather than most of the movie consisting of battles fought. To be fair, what could they say about Artorivs Castvs in 2 hours time? Not too much probably. Certain things I've read about Artorivs were shown in the movie which was coo... because in other movies they've only shown it in a way of fantasy rather than historical.
You know what's funny is some I know who have seen it said the same thing, more plot development would have been better but then others said they didn't think there was enough action. It just goes to show you that different tastes like differnt kinds of movies and look for different things to make it good.
* Michel Gondry [Eternal Sunshine] is directing an adaptation of the sci-fi thriller MASTER OF SPACE AND TIME by Rudy Rucker. Jack Black is attached to star in the project for DreamWorks. It's about two mad scientists who figure out how to control reality.
that will be so good
stay tuned this fall for The Incredibles. disney & pixar's latest film. it's about ex superheroes called back to duty. voices by Samuel L Jackson, Holly Hunter, Craig T Nelson, Jason Lee, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger. check it out at: theincredibles.com or pixar.com
I saw some vid of this. Unbelievable.
* Larry Bishop (KILL BILL VOL. 2) is writing and will direct HELL RIDE. Bishop will produce with Quentin Tarantino. The movie will star Bishop, Tarantino and Michael Madsen as Pistolero, Comanche and the Gent and the deadly unfinished business between them. The movie is expected to begin shooting in August or September. SAY WHAT!?
any one hear anything about the new Catwoman movie?
i've seen the trailer and it doesn't look too good, BUT halle berry looks hot, maybe she can pull it off
haha man what will they come up with next? Ide like to see a movie about the Trix rabbit.
and his downward spiral into womanizing and drug abuse. it would end with him strapping a bomb to his fuzzy white chest and running into the trix factory screaming "if i can't have you nooo onnnee willll" and blowing the place to bits.
So, Halle Berry insists she won't be Storm in X-men again unless she gets a bigger role...so instead she decides to become a different super-hero that has a bigger role BUT the movie looks awful. Hmm..which would I rather?
I totally can't see her as catwoman at all. I think it was a horrible job casting. Of course that is just my opinion. I saw the trailer as well and I don't have any desire to see this movie.
agreed. being the grand-puba of this forum, i didn't want to rain on her parade. the movie looks to be UTTER REFUSE. it's so bad that the director of the new and destined to be GREAT batman movie said that he doesn't want the two movies [related by owner and medium] to ever be mentioned in the same sentence.
Donnie Brasco---2 Thumbs up badabing
* Kenneth Branagh and Scarlett Johansson are joining Tom Cruise and Carrie-Anne Moss in MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3 for director Joe Carnahan.
I can't wait to see how this guy directs. Everyone says he's good. He better be great because I love these movies. Tom Cruise is so great in them and all that espionage and spy stuff is BIG TIME fun to watch. Brian DePalma did the first one, John Woo did the second, lets see how this one measures up. Awesome cast btw.
I didn't like the second one, but the first Mission Impossible is a great movie.
Trailer for Napoleon Dynamite
http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox_searchlight/napoleon_dynamite.html
haha this looks REALLY funny to me. i really have no idea what it's about tho.
i've never heard this movie or anyone involved in it. but it looks awsome. i love movies like this! so unique and [from the looks] well written. i've always liked low budget underdog stories. that tall skinny dude, the focus of the trailer, should be the new ezable mascot. i nominate him here and now.
here's a review! looks to be TOP SHELF. http://aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=17555
when are we going to see this? FEZ is in it!!
i wish it was playing within 25 miles of me..
no? it's playing in montclair. that's not THAT far from you.
34 miles. not too bad. only 18 miles from my work.
see stop being such a big baby.
it opens up wider in a week or so. looks low budg and interesting.
by the time i am ready to see it it will be all over lol when are we going people??
haha, i'm just going when it comes out by me.
BRAT!
july 23 isn't so far away
this is true.
Trailer for The Bourne Supremacy
http://movies.yahoo.com/movies/feature/thebournesupremacy.html
this movie looks to be really good. i always liked people making threats on a phone while aiming a high powered rifle at people. i haven't seen Bourne Indentity, but i heard it's amazing. i'll wait til i'm about to see Supremacy to finally view Indentity. good times. can't wait.
Bourne Identity..good movie. Came out like 5 years ago, what have these people been doing?
two years. not five.
* Newmarket Films will unveil a director's cut of DONNIE DARKO at the Seattle Film Festival on May 29. The new version will have 20 minutes of never-before-seen footage, new visual effects, and new music. After the festival, Newmarket plans to release the film theatrically in Seattle before moving into other markets later in the summer. A Very Good Thing.
* New Line Cinema has picked up the comic book HAWAIIAN DICK to develop as a starring vehicle for Johnny Knoxville. Damian Shannon and Mark Swift have been brought on board to adapt. Set in 1953, the story follows a a down-on-his-luck big-city detective who is exiled to Hawaii. While there, he gets involved in a kidnapping case of a local island girl who turns up dead but won't stay that way. I loved this comic! Extremely well drawn. I hope this pans out completely. I'll be first in line.
more johnny knoxville movies woooo
Exiled to Hawaii. That must be horrible. lol
King Arthur should be coming out this summer. I saw the trailer yesterday, looks really good.
looks pretty decent, i don't like clive owen tho.
i've been waiting for this director, Antione Fuqua, to get into something good. He did Training Day and the Replacement Killers, both of which were recently on TBS or something. they were pretty gritty and street, but the actors performances made those movies. still, his "eye" seems pretty good, slick and stylish. only thing is: the cast doesn't look too strong. BUT the script is done by the dudes who did Gladiator, the Alamo and Hannibal. the writing might carry this one thru.
how can you NOT like clive owen? have you seen the BMW movies? the dude is an amazing actor.
Gin and Tonic...a biographical movie about the Monty Python ensemble. Set to shoot in London, later this year. They're still in the midst of casting roles.
* John Woo has optioned Nintendo's video game franchise METROID. He will produce the sci-fi movie and has the option to direct. The movie will center on the origins of the game's female protagonist, sexy bounty hunter Samus Aran, and relate her adventures battling the insidious life-sucking Metroids and their controlling force, Mother Brain. I can't even imagine how this is going to look. Maybe it should be all CGI, ala Final Fantasy. John Woo is such a hack lately. I hope this comes out right! I want Richard Simmons to be Samus Aran, jk! Maybe Amy Smart. Yeah, I'm thinking CGI.
I've never played Metroid but I always thought Samus was a man when I played her on Smash Brothers.
Agreed. Samus is BOSS. I can't wait to know her story.
This looks cool, Metroid Prime is awesome, I would say CGI is the way to go. Seems kind of boring though, I mean she was always alone.
True indeed.
* Lions Gate Films is fast-tracking a zombie film, FLIGHT OF THE DEAD, with production set to begin in September. The story follows two zombies being shipped back to their homeland after they are captured. But when the deadly creatures come unexpectedly to life aboard an airplane, they begin to wreak high-altitude havoc. Don't ask me why...but I like the sound of this, lol.
ok how cute does the new Jennifer Garner movie "13 going on 30" look?
she can't dance
I Bet You Had No Idea: i wanna see this movie
It looks pretty funny
*HUCKABEES - A new comedy from director David O. Russell (Spanking the Monkey, Flirting with Disaster, Three Kings) starring Dustin Hoffman, Lily Tomlin, Isabelle Hupert, Jude Law, Naomi Watts, Jason Schwartzman, and Mark Wahlberg. It is a story of corporate intrigue, enviromentalism and existentialism.
Look for it Spring 2004! The cast alone makes me salivate. The director is decent too. Three Kings was good. Can't wait.
Isabelle Huppert is a french GODDESS...
This movie looks WAY good. Something I definitely wanna see. good performances and good comedy. SCORE. watch the trailer!
http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox_searchlight/i_heart_huckabees/
* Johnny Knoxville, America Ferrera (REAL WOMEN HAVE CURES), Pablo Schreiber ("The Wire") and Elden Henson have joined the cast of LORDS OF DOGTOWN. Heath Ledger, Victor Rasuk, Emile Hirsch, John Robinson, Michael Angarano and Nikki Reed also star for director Catherine Hardwicke. I've been looking forward to this movie for a while now. It's a movie about the genesis of skateboard as a lifestyle in the seventies. It was going to be directed by David Fincher [Seven, Fight Club, Panic Room] but he passed on it for some reason. It has some good names behind it still. It'll be very enjoyable.
my friend is filiming this movie as i type....
then he is going to be part of something big or something stupid. this movie could go either way. i hope they make it dark and realistic and not all silly and "dude-ish." i have a feeling it's going to be a GREAT flick.
from the way it sounds, it sounds like its going to be awesome! Actually he's doing stunt work for Staci Peralta....surfing wise, he's a stunt double. He's been hanging out with Heath Ledger & Johnny Knoxville, I got to chit chat with those guys....so yeah its an amazing cast....the only thing that can go wrong is the writing....the actors are good so it's all up to dialogue!
Heath Ledger..-drool-
I just found out he's a smoking fiend.
who has the most beautiful hair in the world
you're very astute. i'm not worried about the script actually. Rogery Avery [pulp fiction co-writer] is doing re-writes and he's the dialogue master. i'm just worried about the directing.
hmmm, we'll see....i can't wait for it to come out
johnny knoxville yessssssss
How can you like hime he is a thief.
he's hottt and funny
ahhhhh one word
ok maybe not a word
he's awesome hahaha and that laugh cracks me up

yeah he's hot! we've begged weeman and bam to bring him in! i've only chatted with him...only like 5 words....LOL
mmmm his wife is one lucky lady
i seriously cannot wait for this movie. all the stories i'm hearing from the set, the shots i've seen....amazing. from what i can tell, if you liked the dogtown/z-boys, you'll really be into this! so sick! they're claiming its more on the epic side of big wednesday....and not the cheese factor of most skate/surf movies (in gods hands/north shore)
*NEWS*
Roger Avary says: "The WGA Arbitration Committee on "Lords of Dogtown" has reached a verdict. And they've determined that the sole writer credited on the film will be Stacey Peralta -- a decision I find completely and totally satisfactory. I mean, Stacey did live the frickin' thing. It's only right that he should receive sole credit. My changes went out with the bathwater when Catherine Hardwicke took over from David Fincher as director. She rewrote the script, but obviously didn't contribute more than 50% of new material to Stacey's original script. In any case, I'm totally cool with it. I signed on for a Fincher film, and Stacey deserves sole credit. The WGA Arbitration Committee has made a just decision. I stand by it."
Sad deal. Avary is the man. He's revisions are gone. Sad. This STILL looks good. If they ever finish and release it!
* Writer/director Richard Kelly (DONNIE DARKO) has scripted and will helm the comedy-musical thriller SOUTHLAND TALES "Southland Tales" for Cherry Road Films and Darko Entertainment. The project takes place in 2008 during a three-day Los Angeles heat wave leading up to a massive July 4 holiday celebration. Seann William Scott, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jason Lee, Janeane Garofalo, Tim Blake Nelson, Amy Poehler, Kevin Smith and Ali Larter are in talks to take roles in the film, set to begin shooting in July. The filmmakers are in discussions with Moby to contribute new music to the pic. This looks completely great. I wish I didn't know about these ensembles so far ahead of time, because now I gotta wait!
* Claire Forlani, Marc Warren, Leo Gregory and Terence Jay have signed to join Elijah Wood and Charlie Hunnam in Odd Lot Entertainment's HOOLIGANS for director Lexi Alexander. The film centers on a Harvard undergraduate who moves to London after he is wrongfully expelled from the Ivy League school. Once there, he meets up with a young man who introduces him to the violent underworld of soccer hooliganism. I don't know why this looks so interesting to me. I guess i'm intrigued by "hooliganism." i dig Elijah Wood too.
Claire Forlani
she's cool
