i love times square. the giant toys r'us, BB King's joint, that huge video arcade, that mall/5 stories of resturants (it's not really a mall - it's just like, friday's, applebees, hoolihans on top of each other), jump on the bus from the port authority and you're back in jersey
times square is definitely the most unfulfilling place to go in nyc
this is true for the most part. but it's like when someone has a huge mole on their face, you just gotta stare at it a bit. lots of lights and posters to look at, stores, resturants, so forth. it holds my attention for about an hour and i'm ready to go.
it is. you see it so much on tv and all that standing there just does not make that much of a difference. except that the sidewalks glitter
one time i went there and this kid was like, "why do the sidewalks sparkle?" we told him "oh ya know there's glass in the cement to make it sparkle." he goes, "no it's all over the sidewalks not just in front of this one store."
Maybe it is, but I have to go there just to be able to say I've been there.
