I am actually gaining weight for the first time in almost 10 years (not counting the time I was "with child"), and I'm ok with it. I'm at 120 now, and that's still considered a little underweight for my height. I'd have no problem putting a few extra pounds on, as long as I still worked out and stayed in shape.
where can you find out what your weight to height raitio should be? I would like to know mine
Hmmm....if you search online for a BMI calculator, it should give you that information, and a bunch of other info. My hubby is really into that sort of thing, and he calculates his body mass, and weight and stuff, and keeps charts and everything, too. It's pretty detailed.
hmm I dont think it worked right, cause at my height and my age im 29 pounds UNDER weight, if I was 29 pounds over weight, I'd be very chubby, I'd think
Which one did you use 'cause your age shouldn't matter. A BMI of between 18.5 and 25 is considered normal regardless of age.
I was under that,it was 16.5 I know im under weight but i dont think by almost 30 pounds! 5 or 6 sounds more like it
Yikes! No. 20 or 30 pounds sounds about right if you have a BMI of only 16.5.
i'm usually about 13% in the winter, and drop to about 11.5 in the summer....but why does all this matter/
BMI is not a percentage. Are you talking about body fat percentage?
NO WAYYYYY, , If i gained that much weight i think id defly look like a porker,, plus i have small bone stucture, if it makes a difference, ,cause now i weigh about 95 pnds i think maybe 98, ,and it said i should weigh 129, Thats alot, at 105 im doin good. 105 or around there is what id like to be, but its ridiculous tryna gain weight!
A small frame might make a 10 or 15 pound difference, but that still leaves you 15 or 20 pounds underweight.
