I just usta have a dental phobia, got over ir when I started to need root canals. They charge so much to kill a tooth! And I cant afford a crown everytime. SO this dental school thingy might be a good alternative ....
It is, and if you need a crown I recommend getting one. Yeah, they are expensive (around 600 or so). But when you get a root canal, the dentist removes all the pulp from the tooth-which is the blood supply to the tooth. When that is gone, your tooth becomes brittle and prone to breaking. The crown protects that from happening.
