Wow, a "HATER" of this band. Does that include a hatred of all talent, musicianship, and creativity in music?...because when you step back - Hate is a strong word. Are you sure you actually hate Dave & his band? An untouchable drummer, a stylishly rockin' violinist, most versatile saxaphonist, flutist, and the other 10+ instruments that Leroi plays, along with unbelievable lyrics and melodies (whether rock, funk, jazzy, or otherwise) from the talented guitarist Dave...try going to a live show. What's not to like about this band? They're soooooooo good that's it is almost offensive to say that you are a hater of this man and his band. Question - are you saying that you actually HATE good music? Get away from the mainstream garbage, and give a listen to an awesome ensemble of a group - THE DAVE MATTHEWS BAND -
i think she means she hates the people who worship dave matthews as the end all of great music...
I'll go with what Dan said cause I really don't know what to say in response to your saying I hate good music. I'm fairly sure musical taste is all about opinion and my opinion is your taste isn't good.
I never stated that you hate good music. If you look closer, you'll see that it was phrased as a question. Again tho, good for you and your opinions- whatever makes you happy. I was merely trying to understand the thinking behind your hatred. If I offended, sorry you took it so personally. No one should worship the band, but c'mon, some credit please...
One..take it easy. This whole site is practically one giant (often stupid) joke. I don't hate anything, but I am free to throw that word around if I want to. And I don't have to give Dave any credit if I just don't like his band. I don't like cheeze wiz..maybe you do. I don't have to give it any credit just because it's your personal preference. I really just don't appreciate Dave.
yeah and i don't appreciate crash or satellite. i mean, how can those POSSIBLY be considered great songs? taking a crappy song, having it play on the radio approx. 41,562 times, and then changing the words does NOT make it better. or even good.
i think some originality is necessary.
you don't like cheeze wiz??? but its so fun to play with!
The idea of cheese in a can doesn't appeal to me.
Ok then...you wear me out. Don't like'm and don't like cheeze whiz, whatever makes you happy. My earlier reply to you wasn't meant to be taken so seriously that you're actually mad about this. Throw out as many words as you want. Of course this site is about having a fun time, sharing how you feel and what you know about certain topics. Take it from the "I-man". He's got the right idea. Hopefully this site isn't your whole life, as I see you logged on around 10am this morning.
My I am certainly tired of reading your posts. I don't know what gave you the impression that I was mad, but I wasn't. However, I must say that you are now starting to thoroughly annoy me. Why does it matter to you what time I'm on Ezabel, creepy? And how does me being on at 10 o'clock hit to you that this is my whole life? Didn't we already have a nice discussion about assuming things? Also..resorting to personal attacks when we're discussing music is rather immature, don't yah think?
Really...you sure about that there ace? If you're implying that I worship Dave and his band, well then, wrong answer. By the way - Crash and Satellite - completely different and creatively brilliant songs. Great music, not just a fast drum beat with a punk riff...no! Talent is what I'm talking about. But thanx for your explantion, very soul searching - you got me. Not really.
Nobody was attacking your taste in music, everything is going to be alright.
My favorite DMB song is Two Step. I've heard its the best played live. I've kinda lost interest lately especially after the Everyday album. My fav album is Before these crowded streets. I love experimentation.
i like dave
well, i hate dave too. and i am pretty obsessed with music and talent and creativity thru music. so i think its just a personal preference. i find his voice annoying and twangy and nasaly and gurgle-ly. like he's got flem caught in his throat. (yes, it's THAT bad)
