Ok, wow this is from a few months ago, but I'm going to answer anyway. :P

It depends on how big of a project you're talking. If it's a simple website with no tables or extravegent designs FrontPage works well. It's very basic for the begginer to figure out easily.

The Macromedia MX 2004 suite is very nice and includes everything you'll need to make just about any type of site. Focus on Flash and you can make the site very pretty and very dynamic. I'm currently working on getting a better understanding of the entire Macromedia suite. Mainly focusing on Flash and Dreamweaver. Finding the time to learn this all is challenging but I know if I get good at it, it can only pay off.
