There is a dating show on the food network (I am not a viewer, my g-parents like to watch emeril) where two ladies will plan and cook a meal for some dude and the guy will pick who he wants to date based on which dinner he likes best.

Tho sometimes, I think the cooking skills come once you have no choice but to cook for yourself. Who knows, you might be a cooking genius waiting to be revealed. As long as you give it the 'ole college try.
