Isn't always just great when you end up with a nickname because someone can't pronounce your name. lol

omegatweeter Mar 2, 2004

yup, it's awesome haha.

I used to share an attitude like that about them too. And I work for one. But then I stopped and thought about it. How do we feel when we get rejected at the door or are given a bad attitude at the door.

They're just doing their job, how do you think it feels to have to work a 8+ hour day calling people and hear over and over again people being rude. They have a lot of patience.

yes, but think about it this way - the phone is there for MY convience. no one else's.

a house...well...a door is there to be opened.

modestjesse modestjesseOG 2004

If a door is there to be opened, a phone is there to ring.

What about telephone witnessing?

I'm very polite to them and they are rarely nice back. Sometimes I do silly stuff like scream bloody murder in the background when my sister is talking with them.

perrin perrinOG 2004

I'm pretty sure we have all had days like that out in service so I think it's safe to say we know exactly how they feel.

hmm, good point, i am converted! :D

My mom actually did that one time but they called at a really bad time then pronounced our name really really wrong she got really mad. I felt kind of bad for the person calling but they should really look at names better and TRY to pronounce them at least the way they are spelled.

beachbum beachbumOG 2002

when they mutilate my name i just say 'sorry, no one lives here by that name.' they should at least ATTEMPT to pronounce it right.

yodasucka yodasuckaOG 2003

i do that too! they are like "ms. valentine?" "ms. valent?" and i go "nope, no one lives here by that name... u must have the wrong number"

perrin perrinOG 2004

Yeah my mom has done that before as well. Actually she has done that a lot.
