* Johnny Knoxville, America Ferrera (REAL WOMEN HAVE CURES), Pablo Schreiber ("The Wire") and Elden Henson have joined the cast of LORDS OF DOGTOWN. Heath Ledger, Victor Rasuk, Emile Hirsch, John Robinson, Michael Angarano and Nikki Reed also star for director Catherine Hardwicke. I've been looking forward to this movie for a while now. It's a movie about the genesis of skateboard as a lifestyle in the seventies. It was going to be directed by David Fincher [Seven, Fight Club, Panic Room] but he passed on it for some reason. It has some good names behind it still. It'll be very enjoyable.
my friend is filiming this movie as i type....
then he is going to be part of something big or something stupid. this movie could go either way. i hope they make it dark and realistic and not all silly and "dude-ish." i have a feeling it's going to be a GREAT flick.
from the way it sounds, it sounds like its going to be awesome! Actually he's doing stunt work for Staci Peralta....surfing wise, he's a stunt double. He's been hanging out with Heath Ledger & Johnny Knoxville, I got to chit chat with those guys....so yeah its an amazing cast....the only thing that can go wrong is the writing....the actors are good so it's all up to dialogue!
Heath Ledger..-drool-
I just found out he's a smoking fiend.
who has the most beautiful hair in the world
johnny knoxville yessssssss
How can you like hime he is a thief.
he's hottt and funny
ahhhhh one word
ok maybe not a word
he's awesome hahaha and that laugh cracks me up

yeah he's hot! we've begged weeman and bam to bring him in! i've only chatted with him...only like 5 words....LOL
mmmm his wife is one lucky lady
i seriously cannot wait for this movie. all the stories i'm hearing from the set, the shots i've seen....amazing. from what i can tell, if you liked the dogtown/z-boys, you'll really be into this! so sick! they're claiming its more on the epic side of big wednesday....and not the cheese factor of most skate/surf movies (in gods hands/north shore)

Roger Avary says: "The WGA Arbitration Committee on "Lords of Dogtown" has reached a verdict. And they've determined that the sole writer credited on the film will be Stacey Peralta -- a decision I find completely and totally satisfactory. I mean, Stacey did live the frickin' thing. It's only right that he should receive sole credit. My changes went out with the bathwater when Catherine Hardwicke took over from David Fincher as director. She rewrote the script, but obviously didn't contribute more than 50% of new material to Stacey's original script. In any case, I'm totally cool with it. I signed on for a Fincher film, and Stacey deserves sole credit. The WGA Arbitration Committee has made a just decision. I stand by it."
Sad deal. Avary is the man. He's revisions are gone. Sad. This STILL looks good. If they ever finish and release it!
