Interesting. I have Xp and my computer has been doing this every once and a while for a long time. Should I get this patch?

Why not just get the patch anyway just in case and so it doesn't happen?

Because you can still get the virus, even if you use the patch first. But if you get the virus, THEN use the patch, you won't get the virus again (it's weird, I never heard of anything like that ...

hmm, I guess it wouldn't hurt to get the patch anyway, right? If you get the virus, just download it again or run it again--right?

Actually from talking to a friend of mine about this yesterday this patch prevents you from getting the virus.

It doesn't get rid of the virus though just prevents you from getting it. It plugs up the whole that it can get in through. It's a real pain to get rid of from what I'm told.
