Ive thought about this... alot actually. But one thing you ALWAYS have to realize... at the time... thing things you did usually seemed right at that point. And well, when i was in my late teens, i didnt listen to ANYONE, lol. I wanted to do things my way. So having someone tell me, "oh, do this, dont do that" I more or less just ignored them. Which, looking back, was the dumbest attitude i could have had.
As far as where I am right now... for me being the most retarted guy i know, i managed to end up in a pretty good situation. I have an amazing wife, a decent job that i like, a car, an apartment, and incredible friends that I can count on for anything. Its surreal to think about where I was in my teen years compared to now.
Feelin ya my man...
Part of me thinks yeah, could have done without a lot of mistakes, alot of stupid mistakes. At the same time I don't think I'd be where I am today, and it forces me to realize things could be a lot worse. I can't get frustrated over what I haven't done right or accomplished, it won't help, never has. It's the direction of the mistakes, do they make me a better person then I already am?
Yeah i think about that too, there are certain things I wish I could go back and change, but then, I wouldn't have learned the lessons that I learned.
wow dude.. i TOTALLY feel the same way... i was pretty retarted when i was younger... lol... i sound old now. But anwyays, i feel like the things i did shaped me to be the weirdo i am nowadays and well some of the mistakes I would take back in a second... and wish i could everyday. But the others, well, i think it was a learning experience... and well thats part of growing up.
it is blowing my mind how deep you are when youre not humping somebodys leg.
"Your teen years compared to now"... you're only 21! You were a teenager 2 years ago! And as someone who's known you since you were 9, you act the same now as you did then. You haven't changed at all.
and...he is...OWNED!
um actually, im almost 22. AND i was talking about early teen years... ms snipy...
Whoa, you're so out of my wedding. And here on earth, "almost 22" is the same as 21.
yeah, and here on EARTH.... im STILL 3 feet taller than you.
mike you would ask somebody for advice, they would give it, you would say "yeah i know, you're right" but then you would just go and do whatever you wanted anyway. and usually it was something really stupid. i was different, i would ask for advice, they would talk for about 20 mins, and then i would say "what? were you saying something? who the heck are you anyway?"
hahaha, whatever dude... you were so clueless when we were that age... although, nothing has changed... OH snap
awww thanks mike. haha, you pioneered and I went to college to support the fam, huh? j/k. It depends on so many factors. My senior year in hs, I was offered a full scholarship for one year to the community college...it would have been crazy not to take it. So I started college right after school and a long 3 years later, got my AAS. Of course, if I could choose my major again, I'd do something completely different though it has helped in my job. wait, what was my point?
