Well, my GM wasn't in today, but I'm going in tomorrow (on my day off) to chat with him. I did talk to another manager (who I'm really cool with) and asked his advice, and what he thought were the key things to do to get noticed.
He gave me some good advice, so combining that with what you guys have said (except for the gun thing...Matt....hmmmmm *shakes head with pity*), I think I have a pretty good shot.
